I started writing a massive post about my India trip when I was in India, but I seem to have lost the motivation … I will try!

February
So my 30th birthday has come and gone. I am now in my early 30’s, therefore I am young again :D
This year my birthday was on a Saturday, and as we are flying out to India on Friday I decided to combine my birthday with my hen’s day! The hen’s celebrations came first and sorry to disappoint but it was all very civilised. 20 of my favourite ladies, wait, make that 21 as Miss Khrissa turned up as a surprise (bestest birthday present ever!!) 21 of my favourite ladies joined me at Aria Bar at The Langham Hotel to indulge in a chocolate buffet high tea. It was a great afternoon spent catching up with everyone and eating cucumber sandwiches, scones and of course, chocolate treats!!
After the high tea about 10 of us made our way to Lagerfield Bar at Crown for some drinks and snacks. Yes I said we went to a buffet and yes, I just said we ate more at Lagerfield .. but we were at Lagerfield for 6 hours! Once we had enough of the bar we made our way to the casino floor where Sheryl insisted on buying me a giant cherry ripe cocktail. In turn, I made everyone share it with me and I think we only made it about 1/4 through the glass! Once we had enough of the gaming floor we headed to the food court for some chow and made our way home.
Meanwhile Dhillon celebrated his bucks night on the same night, I have heard that there was much drinking and strippers and a lap dance and that the boys all had a great night!

I’d like to take a moment to congratulate some of my friends.
Khrissa – for not only surviving her first year in Sydney, but conquering her fears and making it work. Here’s to the next step in your and Matt’s lives. (And hopefully I can come to visit more often once Dhillon and I live together and my whole pay is not going to rent)
Suzanna – for letting go of the relationship that wasn’t working, finding one that really does, and making a baby, due around June.
Mai – for making the beautiful princess Sabrina, the cutest baby girl in the world!
Lynh – for getting her first full time job :D and surviving Harvey being away in army training for such long stretches at a time.
Trang – for letting go of a relationship, surviving being cheated on and now having a wonderful guy to look after you!
Sheryl – for running not one but two hugely successful Cupcake Central shops and advocating young entrepreneurial women.
Lasie – for being same/same .. but different!
Andrew – for being my Noodle :D finally finding a fulfilling job and a wonderful lady.
Linda – for having the determination and focus to lose weight and achieve a smoking hot body to match that beautiful face.

Hello 2012, I feel you are going to be a good year for me. Already there are lots of things planned and in the woodworks and although by the end of it all I may be broke, I will be happy!
Where to start .. Dhillon and I had our 5 year anniversary last November. We went all out and stayed in a fancy hotel and ate a just as fancy meal before having an awesome night’s sleep in a fancy bed. Not long after, his parents came over from India to meet me. I was so nervous the first day I met them, I don’t think I said very much and I felt very warm! They were both lovely though and asked me lots of questions (some translations by Dhillon and his sister required). They stayed for just over 2 weeks and joined us for the family Christmas lunch. We also watched the family New Years Eve fireworks together, along with lots, and lots, and lots of shopping.
Why so much shopping? Well, now that I have met his Mum & Dad and they have met my family, I am excited to announce that Dhillon and I are flying to India in February to get married!! So shopping that was done was for wedding shoes (height approved by Dhillon’s Mum), makeup to take over as the makeup artists there won’t have my shades lol and the all important engagement ring which arrived back from the jeweller this Friday just passed after being resized. Dhillon’s Mum had also brought over some traditional dresses for me to try on to get the sizing right. These are for me to wear to the other family weddings that will be happening while we are over in India. My wedding and reception dresses will be made for me when we arrive. My Mum, Aunty and her boyfriend will be coming over as well, along with some of Dhillon’s friends, so I wont be alone, but I am still excited and scared at the same time!
We will also have a small registry wedding here when we get back to make it legal, and a reception later on in the year.
In the mean time, my 30th birthday is coming up soon and it just so happens it falls on the weekend before we are due to fly out which means that lucky ol’ me can join my hens and birthday celebrations together! Dhillon will also have his bucks party on that night so hopefully he can drag his mind off strippers at some point during the day to wish me a happy birthday!
I’ve neglected my blog lately but I’m sure at least the first half of the year will give me plenty of opportunity to upload photos if not write blogs and I promise to try and give updates while I am in India, but we will be super busy so who knows. All I know is I will be able to kill you all with the sheer amount of photos that will be taken of us over there, so hold tight!
