Ho Ho Ho

Merry Christmas! Hope you have had a wonderful long weekend, a very merry Christmas day and that Santa brought by something wonderful. My Christmas was spent at Mum’s house for lunch. Dhillon and I arrived at 11 to find that Mum, Robyn and Marty had done all the preparation already. As I was about to take my first sip of bubbly for the day the phone rang .. it was the rest of the family, stuck at my grandparents place to do a flat tire. As my car was the last in the driveway it was my job to head out to pick them up, luckily Nan’s house is only in Doncaster.

So once I had brought Nan, Aunty Carol and my cousins James and Elise to Mums (Pa stayed behind to wait for the battery guy) we chowed down on some delicious food. I would add photos but I had to reformat my laptop last night, you can see pics on my Facebook page though. For entree we had spinach dip and spinach and fetta pastries. Next was mini pork burgers followed by roast turkey, potato salad, garden salad and beetroot salad. Dessert was ice cream cake and cupcakes I had picked up from Sheryl on Christmas Eve. Pa arrived just as we were eating the main course so he dug in as well. Heaps of presents were exchanged and I’m happy to say everyone seemed to like what I bought for them.

Saturday Dhillon and I hit the Boxing Day sales at Doncaster. I didn’t buy anything but Dhillon brought home a Blue Ray DVD Player and a new lens for his camera. In the afternoon we watched Sherlock Holmes which was pretty good, although I was a bit tired and was trying not to fall asleep.

Meanwhile in other news, Krisa’s other half Matt has made the move down to Melbourne. They are all living together at Krisa’s mum’s house which will be nice and cosy. Hopefully he finds a job soon and likes Melbourne life. We are all going to watch Avatar in 3D this afternoon, after a late lunch in Glen Waverley.

I have to work this week, unfortunately payroll doesn’t stop for anyone and the next 3 days will be super busy. Ah well at least there will be minimal traffic on the roads. We will probably go to the city on New Years with Krisa and Matt to watch the fireworks..

Hello

Personal training is still going well, my diet however, is not. So I am a strong fatty! Tuesday night I did all my Christmas shopping in one bang. I was quite happy with my purchases and hope the family like them!

We had a Christmas decoration competition at work .. and we won! Woo hoo!. We created snowy windows, a fireplace with Santa stuck inside and an advent calendar with pictures of our boss dressed up in a Santa suit.

Friday I finished work early and came home to set Ninja up for the night. When she was fed and cuddled (as much as she can be cuddled, she’s not really a cuddly cat) I left to pick up Dhillon and we drove into the city to stay at the new Hilton Hotel at South Wharf. We stayed on the 17th floor in a king studio suite. It had a lovely view of the river, Crown and Eureka Tower. The room had a king size bed with a separate bathroom and shower. We fluffed around in the room for a bit then went to the bar downstairs for some food. We shared a club sandwich and some chips with a glass of wine. Once we had finished face stuffing we went back upstairs to get ready for the Skilled Christmas party.

We arrived a The Peninsula around 8pm and had a few drinks and nibbles and chatted with work friends. The music was OK, 80’s stuff to get the crowd in the mood I guess. Door prizes were drawn at around 10pm with the major one being a $1,000 Coles Myer gift card. We didn’t win :( Dhillon and I left not long after that and caught a taxi back to the hotel. We stopped by the bar again and ordered a cocktail called Spanish Ponche. It came out in a massive jug and worked out to be 3 glasses each. After sloshing that down we went upstairs and tucked ourselves into bed.

Sunday we got up at 11, showered and checked out. I dropped Dhillon home then Krisa came and picked me up and drove us back into the city to Jenny’s house. The 3 of us went out to South Melbourne to have fish and chips for lunch, then went back to Jenny’s place to watch a DVD and some TV. We ordered some pizza for dinner and made our way home around 8.

Ouchie

Another week gone by, only 3 and a bit more until 2010. Monday last week I started personal training, outside of the gym. My trainer Shaun came to my place and gave me a bit of a fitness test and a mini workout. I felt good although my legs were a little sore the next day.

Wednesday was my second session, this time at a park in Box Hill. He made me do pushups and tricep dips until I couldn’t physically do another. I also did some cardio and boxing along with planks. I really like the boxing, except punching over my head .. that hurts. I was pretty worn out after my first full session but felt ok. I woke up in the middle of the night and my arms were both numb .. when I tried to move I felt PAIN which lasted into Thursday and Friday. Saturday and Sunday I had aches, today I feel OK .. but I had another session today so we will see how I feel in the morning. No pain no gain .. or so they say.

Friday I worked through my pain and Dhillon and I went to Tao’s Restaurant in Bulleen for a romantical dinner. The food was wonderful as always and we tried warm Saki for the first time. I was a bit disappointed my favourite mushroom appetiser was not on offer that night but the steamed egg and seafood dish was yummy too. I chose sashimi for entre, complete with a baby octopus, cream of mushroom for my soup course, fish for my main and crème brule for dessert. Dhillon had prawns and oysters for entree, chicken and herb broth for soup, teriyaki chicken for main and some sort of creamy fruit dish for dessert.

Saturday Dhillon woke up feeling average so we stayed in for the day. I cooked us up some chicken pasta for dinner and we watched TV before hitting the hay.

Sunday I cooked up some eggs for brekki and we went over to Eastland so Dhillon could have a haircut. When he was finished we went to Theobrama’s Chocolate Cafe for a drink. Dhillon had a milk hot chocolate while I had a caramel hot chocolate and a meat pie!

.

Friday evening Dhillon had birthday drinks to go to, so Krisa and I decided to head out the the cinema to watch Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs in 3D. It was pretty good, I think Up! was better though :D There were some small girls sitting next to me who were cracking up laughing which was pretty amusing for me. They were also trying to reach out and touch the 3D objects on the screen.

Saturday we had netball. Amazingly we had made it into the semi-final despite losing the majority of our games. We lost and Krisa rolled her ankle. The other team were pretty rough, I hope they lose next week! In the evening Dhillon and I went to Glen Waverly and watched The Invention of Lying. It was pretty good although I thought it was going to be more ‘laugh out loud’ funny. It had a sweet ending and was nice to watch. We had kebabs from Mitcham for dinner and watched some episodes of Flash Forward. I went to bed at 12, he didn’t join me until almost 5am!

This morning I woke up at 11 and waited for Dhillon to get up .. he didn’t emerge till 3pm so then I had to wait for him to shower and get ready for lunch. I was so hungry but he didn’t care. Stoopid boy lol. We went to Sofias where I pigged out on lasagne and he had a prawn dish.

It’s Over

2 and a half hours till hunyo touches down at Melbourne Airport! This last week has been the longest of my life .. the other 5 flew by though ;)

Thursday was Krisa’s birthday. Krisa likes Twilight .. Twilight opened on her birthday .. guess where I had to go on Krisa’s birthday? Booooo. Lol the things we do for the ones we love. The movie was OK, the cinema was packed out, as expected. I won’t spoilt it for any of you Twi-Freaks but I will say if I had to begrudgingly choose a team, it would be Team Jacob (even though the actor is only 17 and I should not be perving on him).

Friday I went with mum after work to check out some air conditioners. She was also looking at TV’s and digital cameras. We spent an hour or 2 browsing Harvey Norman and the Good Guys but didn’t make any purchases at this point. In the evening I made my way to Glen Waverley for Krisa’s birthday dinner at Pescare (I think?). I had cannelloni which was pretty good!

Saturday we played netball and won our second game of the season. Turns out we have to play in the preliminary finals next week .. we’re not gonna win though, I can tell you that now!

Sunday Kelly came to pick me up and we went to Erryn’s house for a Body Shop at Home party. We didn’t end up buying anything but it was nice to see Erryn’s new house and her puppy dawg.

Boom Boom Pow

Hello once again. This weekend I did bits and pieces. On Thursday evening after work Kelly, Jenny and I headed over to Melanie’s to meet her 3 week old baby boy Frank. He is super duper cute, although he was a bit cranky that night. We all had a cuddle and a chat before coming home.

Friday night I hung out at home with Ninja. Saturday did my laundry and then went to play netball in the afternoon. It was super hot outside so everyone was a bit effortless, not to mention red in the face. We lost, but that’s ok. In the evening Krisa, Steve and Linda came to pick me up and we made our way to Reservoir to watch the Victorian Roller Derby semi-final bout. We arrived at 7.30pm for the start of the game at 8. There were heaps of people there so inside was pretty stuffy, but once the action started no one really cared. It looked like it would be a lot of fun to play .. if only we could play netball like that.

Sunday Krisa and I decided to go to the movies. As I went to pick her up, I was involved in a low speed car accident. The road I was on was two lanes, from the left lane you can go straight or right, from the right lane you can only go right. I was in the left lane, turning right, the guy who hit me was in the right lane, but he went straight =\ There’s a dint in my driver door and the side of my car has lovely long white paint marks/scratches along the side so I am going to have to get it fixed by insurance .. so annoying. Luckily no one was hurt and the damage only minor. The guy was quite apologetic when he realised what he had done.

So after a bit of a cry in the car I picked up Krisa and we went to Southland to watch 2012 .. it was reallyyy good, I was holding my breath through parts of it. It’s long though so make sure you pee before you go in and try to limit your fluid intake :P

One week (and 40 minutes) till Dhillon is home :)

9.11.09

Hi

Meh, almost forgot to blog. This time in 2 weeks Dhillon will be home :) Friday I took my mum out on a date, we went to The Glen for some window shopping, then to watch a movie. We were heaps early for the session time so mum gave me $20 and we played the pokies for a bit.

We watched The Time Travellers Wife. This is one of the few books I have read in the past years and I thoroughly enjoyed it .. it is one of my mum’s favourite books too so she went in with high hops they movie would live up to it. The verdict? We both really enjoyed it, Mum had a bit of a cry, I teared up but none fell out of my eyes.

After the movie we had dinner at Airstream. Mum usually goes for the honey mustard chicken but this time she tried something different, the prawn and mango salad. I had fettucini with chicken and olives in a napoli sauce, which mum finished off when I was done :D

Saturday and Sunday I spent most of the day on the couch watching TV shows I had to catch up on. I was very good only eating fruit salad and yoghurt for lunch and lean meat and salad for dinner. I am rather proud of myself!

Tonight Jenny and I went to visit Kelly in hospital. She has been feeling unwell and her doctor doesn’t know what is wrong, they thought it best for her to be in hospital so they can run a few billion tests in a small amount of time. She will get better soon :)

HAPPY 3 YEAR ANNIVERSARY HUNYO!

Love you long time

(even though you almost forgot what day it was)

PS. I forgot to mention in my holiday post that Perth people drive very much to my liking. They all keep left and all travel at or over the speed limit, it was awesome!

Perth Weekend

It all started on Thursday evening. Krisa’s mum dropped her off at my house at around 6.30pm. We then piled into my car for the drive to the airport. After 1 minute of driving I though I had left my camera on the couch at home, so we came back, only to find it was indeed actually in my handbag d’oh! Once again we set off for Melbourne Airport.

We arrived quite early and after quickly checking in we had a surprisingly good dinner at Airbar inside the airport. Our plane departed on time at 9.30pm and we were off. Krisa had brought along her laptop so we watched episodes of The Hills and The City to pass time. We arrived in Perth at 10.30pm Perth time, 1.30am Melbourne time and needless to say we were exhausted. We jumped in a taxi, only to get stuck at the exit gate. The coin machine was not working so we couldn’t get out. The airport attendant tried to fix it but to no avail. He finally decided to just break off the barrier so all the taxi’s could get on their way. Mel’s house was about a 30 minute drive.

We said a quick hello to Mel before plopping into bed. Mel had to work on Friday so once Krisa and I had woken up and fed ourselves we headed out to shop. Our first stop was Westfield Whitford where we both made some purchases at Cotton On before having a coffee. Krisa had seen some shoes she liked but they didn’t have them in her size, so we then headed over to another shopping centre (forgot the name). This place was brand spanking new, smelt like a display home! The shoes were not located here either so we stopped by Subway for lunch and made our way back to Mel’s house. Krisa then looked up shoe shops on the internet and we found one that was close by to Mel’s so we went over there to find they had a pair in her size and desired colour.

Mel came home just after 5pm and after she had a quick shower we drove into Leederville for dinner. We parked in Mel’s workplace and walked over to an Italian restaurant for some garlic bread and pasta. Mel and I shared a bottle of wine! By the end we were pretty tanked so Krisa drove home and we all crashed around 11pm.

Saturday we woke up and were all dressed and out of the house by 10am. We drove to Fremantle for breakfast at Dome. We all had some sort of egg dish and coffee and tea. After breakfast we walked around Fremantle looking for Target. Mel made some purchases then we made our way to the Fremantle Jail for a tour. Our tour guide Paul was awesome. He had some wonderful stories and was very fun to listen to. The tour went for an hour and 15 minutes and was well worth it!

On the way home we stopped by Scarboro beach for some lunch at an American style restaurant. The meals were less than impressive but we still ate heaps. I had a cherry cola, it was awesome! Once we were full we went back to Mel’s house to chill out for a bit. We had rice paper rolls for dinner then dressed up, ready for the Gay Pride Parade in Northbridge. Mel and I had some more wine in the car. We arrived about 7.30, with the parade due to start at 8. We got a good spot right on the barriers, then I needed to pee. I had to hold it in for the next few hours though as we would have lost our spot. The parade was really good, everyone was happy and having a great time as they walked, danced or sashayed down the street. We got covered in glitter and I scored some free condoms!

Sunday we had breakkie at Mel’s house then made our way into the city. We went for a ride on the viewing/ferris wheel thing which gave us some nice views of the small city and the Swan river. After our ride we walked over to the bell tower where we were given the chance to have a go at ringing church bells. For our efforts we were rewarded with a certificate! After we walked up the top of the bell tower and back down we went over to King’s Park where we had a picnic in the sun. Lots of families and people were out, including a couple having their wedding photos taken in the gusting wind. Mel had put her Coke can in her shoe to stop it from falling over .. it did however and she ended up shoeless!

On the way home we stopped for petrol and Krisa popped into Super IGA to get some supplies for dessert. For dinner Mel cooked us a delicious roast of beef with roast pumpkin, sweet potato, onion, broccoli and scalloped potatoes. It was really yummy. We then had a berry/apple pie for desert with icecream and custard on top. We were all full then and Mel went to bed early while Krisa and I watched the end of The Bodyguard on DVD.

Monday Mel had to work again. Krisa and I had a lunch date with my old high school friend Joanna. We met her at Hilary’s Boat Marina (kind of like Melbourne’s Docklands) and after a short walk around the restaurants we decided to eat at the Dome. The food was average but the mango smoothie was awesome. I tried pecan pie for the first time and it has now become one of my favourite desserts! We sat on the rocks next to the beach and chatted for a while before heading off around 2pm. We went to Innaloo Westfield which was pretty small. We did a couple of laps and both made a purchase at a surf store. I got some white sneakers for $47, down from $110 and Krisa bought a giant bag. I also bought some cute Moo pyjamas from Bras n Things. Once we were bored we made our way back to Mel’s house.

At 5pm we went back into Innaloo to meet up with Mel at Sizzler. We pigged out for a good 2 hours, I looooove Sizzler. After face stuffing we went to the cinema next door to watch ‘This Is It’ which was awesome.

Tuesday Mel went to work again while Krisa and I headed to the airport for our 12.30 flight. We arrived in Melbourne at 7pm Melbourne time and it took an hour to get our luggage, get on the bus and get to my car in the long term parking. It was then another hour to get home! I took the day off from work today as I knew I would need a sleep in, and I’m glad I did!

Week 2

4 to go, not that I’m counting or anything ;) Friday evening Krisa and I were going to go with Mai and crew into Silk Road for drinks. As we are on a diet we decided it probably wasn’t a good idea to go and drink so we passed up that and instead went to watch movies at Eastland. We saw Whip It which was pretty funny. There were heaps of teeny boppers in the cinema and they were talking a bit through the movie. It was annoying but then I remember back to when I was a TB and doing the same stuff so I could deal with it.

Saturday I did the usual, laundry and netball .. we lost, but good fun. We played inside and it was so stuffy and sweaty, at least the girls in this team were nice. In the evening I hung out at home watching TV and movies.

Today Kelly came over around lunch time for a couple of hours. She is going to stay at my house and look after Ninja while Krisa and I are in Perth next weekend. At around 2 my mum came and we went to Eastland to watch Fame. I enjoyed it, I like Kherrington!

Krisa and I are currently on day 5 of the kick start soup diet, not to lose weight, but to get us into a good eating pattern. My problem is portion size, food is so yummy I just keep eating until I get a belly ache. I didn’t like the soup so I have made my vegies into a salad instead, same principle though. Tuesday is the last day :)

Hi

Bay you know I miss you, I just wanna kiss you, but I can’t right now so bay kiss me thru da phone, see you later on ..

1 week down, 5 to go

Took Dhillon and Raj to the airport last Monday for their flights to India. I miss him, but he’s been online almost every day for a few minutes so it’s ok. Sounds like he’s having a great time and being spoiled to death by his family.

Wednesday I was lucky enough to catch a cold which turned out to be pretty bad. Woke up on Thursday morning and could not bring myself to get to work. Ended up having Friday off as well, spent time curled up on the couch watching TV, coughing and blowing out about 50 litres of snot.

Saturday I went to watch the girls play netball, then Krisa came to my house to get ready to go to Lucy’s engagement. Lovely Krisa had dropped past OMG Treats on the way to netball so had some of Sheryl’s Cupcakes ( www.cupcakecentral.com.au ) to snack on while getting ready. Drove the hour to get to Lucy’s new house in Kings Park. She was late to her own party, typical. There was heaps of food and drink and she looked like she was having a great time with her hubby to be. We left at 9 for the long drive home.

Sunday I relaxed most of the day, but did go for an hour walk in the afternoon. Lucky me I found $20 on the street! 10 days left till Krisa and my Perth holiday. Mel has made up an itinery for us so I think it will be a fun filled weekend!

Sick

I’m sick .. perhaps love sick? Hehe nah, really sick. I have a painful golf ball in my throat, fever, headache, cough. Enough to take 2 days off work, which I don’t do unless I’m reeeally feeling terrible.

Stellar Awards Night

Friday evening I didn’t have to pick up Krisa as she is visiting lover-boy in Sydney .. first time in a few weeks! I stayed in that night, watched some Better Homes and Gardens and then some of the TV series I have been downloading lately.

Saturday morning I woke up and did my laundry like usual the played netball in the afternoon. We won for the first time this season, only cause the other team were really bad. A win is a win though :D I play defence and was in wing defence for the last half of the game. The girl I played on in the 3rd quarter had obviously never had someone defend her before as she was getting pissy that I was getting in the way of where she wanted to run. She would run out to get a pass, and I would let her, then stand in the way of where she wanted to run .. she would then run forwards, obviously bashing into me and I guess that was what was upsetting her, along with the fact they were losing. She got so angry she started body shoving me and then yelled out ‘we’re not playing body on body.’ I just gave her a look and said ‘do you think I am going to just let you get the ball and not defend you?’ .. no reply to that. She got so angry she swapped positions in the final quarter. Can’t wait to play them again!

Saturday evening was Dhillon’s work (my old work) function, Awards Night. It was help at the Medallion Club at Etihad Stadium. We arrived at 6.30 on the dot to a line of waiters holding trays of drinks. Entree was served as finger food, samosas and spring rolls. Dinner was either chicken or lamb followed by a platter of mixed desserts. There was then lots of dancing and drinking. It was a good night although I think the venue for last years was much nicer. Great to see my old work buddies too.

Today we slept in till early afternoon and then went to Brand Smart in Nunawading so Dhillon could buy some new shoes. He picked some out from Footlocker, then we dropped by Forest Hill to get some food. We went into Myer and he also found some pyjamas on sale so grabbed them up too. Tomorrow morning he is off to India for 6 weeks :( hopefully I can keep busy enough not to miss him too much, November 22 I am waiting for you!

Bloggers Meet

Got some time to write an entry before I head off to combat class at gym. Friday after work I went to pick up Krisa from work at 5pm. I waited and waited .. she didn’t come out of the building. It got to 10 past 5 so I called her. Where was she? 2 minutes from her house, she got a lift home .. d’oh. I went to pick her up and we drove over to Chadstone for dinner at Nudle. We had a quick wander through the new section of the centre before going into AMF for her bowling fundraiser night. We played 3 games and I won a little trophy for ‘almost getting 100’ hehe.

Saturday, Krisa, Dhillon and I went into the city to go to the Dali exhibition at the gallery. When we got there at 2.30 the line was pretty long so we went shopping and had dinner. We came back around 5.30 and the line was still rather long. While I was waiting for Krisa to go to the bathroom, I overheard a couple talking about how they had lined up for 3 hours, only to spend an hour and a half in the exhibition itself. After hearing that we decided to give it a miss and head home. Krisa tried to go again later in the evening, but there were ever more people then so unfortunately she missed out.

Sunday morning daylight savings started. Ninja always wakes me up at 7am on the weekends, Sunday she woke me up at 7.55, so I went back to sleep assuming my clock was correct .. it wasn’t .. and I had to be somewhere at midday. I got up at 11 and had a rushed shower and dressing and jumped into the car and onto the Eastlink to get to Krisa’s house. Turns out I got there at 12, but I didn’t have to rush as Trang and Mai were running late as well.

DSC02680

Krisa and I walked up to the Dingley market with Jasper, arriving around 1. Luckily we got there then as Sheryl was almost sold out of cupcakes! We selected our sweet and Sheryl put them aside for us while we grabbed a hot dog. The girls then turned up then so we had a chat and a wander around the market. By this time it was 2-ish so we went for a late lunch at Glen Waverley before heading home. Hoefully we can make out meet more often, however that means Krisa and I would have to head west-ward sometimes :O

Happy Birthday!

Happy 26th Birthday to my dearest darling hunyo, Mr Dhillon Singh! <3 you!

8731_143510563003_501203003_2849887_7841713_n

Friday after work I headed out to Krisa’s house to get ready to go into the city for the evening. After being molested by her puppy Jasper and kneeling on her grubby floor (puppy = grubby floor) we were primped and preened and on our way. We parked on Queen St and started walking around looking for food. We ended up at Yoyogi on Swanston St where we had bento boxes, Japanese dumplings and soya bean drink.

8731_142821938003_501203003_2843273_4073185_n

We then walked back to Queen St, specifically Element Lounge to attend Sheryl’s online cupcake store launch party. She had baked over 100 cupcakes for the event, which meant everyone had at least 2 to scoff down. Heaps of her friends were there which was really good to see. Her cupcake store is:

Please drop by for all your cupcake needs .. they are the awesome-est!

Yesterday (Saturday) I woke up at 9.30 as Kelly was coming over to drop off some dresses she had borrowed from me previously. We talked for a bit before she left for gym class. I cleaned up the place a little bit before Krisa and Dhillon arrived to watch the footy grand final. Krisa had picked up part 2 of Dhillon’s birthday present (part 1 was Gold Class movie vouchers) for me – St Kilda themed cupcake Sheryl had made for me. He looooved them! We watched the match and unfortunately the Saints lost. Once that was over Dhillon went home to get ready while Krisa and I got dressed up here.

8731_143510283003_501203003_2849843_3596533_n

We picked Dhillon up from his home at 7 and after a quick stop at Maccas, so I could take my antibiotics with food, we drove into Chapel St, after a quick stop to pick up Jimmy. We went to The Social Bar for a few drinks and waited for Dhillon’s other friends to arrive. We stayed till about 1.30 and stopped by Lamb for some kebabs.

8731_143510448003_501203003_2849867_6090442_n

Today I woke up earlier than Dhillon, but I thought I would be nice and let him sleep in, seeing as it’s his birthday n stuff. He got up about 1.30 then headed home to go to temple. I have spent the rest of the day on the couch.

Meanwhile, in other news, I caught a bout of Athlete’s foot from the day Krisa and I went swimming. To make matters worse it developed into an infection in the 2 littlest toes .. made it hard to walk all week, hence the antibiotics I’m on.

Farmville!

I’m too busy playing Farmville on Facebook to update my blog teehee. Friday night Dhillon went out with the boys to watch footy, so I picked Krisa up after work and we went to Southland for a feed and a movie. We ate Grill’d burgers and their delicious chips, and watched Up in 3D. It was awesome! I love Pixar movies and this one was all the more entertaining as it was in 3D.

Saturday I did some laundry and was about to hang it outside in the sun when I changed my mind. Lucky I did as not long after it started to rain. In the afternoon I headed out to netball .. we lost again. In the evening Dhillon came over and we watched the footy followed by a DVD.

Sunday we went to Knox for breakfast at Red Salmon. Dhillon had an omelette and I had lasagne .. for breakfast. We then did a bit of shopping at Harvey Norman and Myer before we came back to my house to relax on the couch.

Weekend

Today, (no this is not a FML) I realised the reason why I roll my eyes up to the right when people ask me a question.. It’s cause I actually picture the answer in my head. Pretty cool if you ask me!

Aaanywho, Friday night Dhillon and I headed out in the warm wind to Metro to watch Ferry Corsten. I was the designated driver, so while I was having fun, I got tired at about 3am while Dhillon was a bit tipsy and wanted to stay on longer. It only took me cracking the shits at him to get him to leave :D

Saturday we slept in until about 1pm. I made us eggs Benedict for breakfast, although I had no ham. Is it still Benedict with no ham? I dropped Dhillon home and I spent the rest of the evening on the couch while he went out to an Indian rave in the city.

Sunday afternoon we met up with Krisa and Matt for a late breakfast/lunch/dips/drinks session at Airstream. I had the tortellini carbonara which was yummy as usual.

So after going to the gym 4 times the week before last, I only went one time this past week, how slack! My butt has definitely ballooned in an outward manner! Back to it this week.

Friday night Dhillon and I headed out to Brown Alley to see DJ Roth. We arrived pretty early, 9.30-ish and I think we were the first ‘members of the public’ to show up besides the organisers. The music was not really my style and turned out not to be Dhillon’s style either. It was alot of doof doof beats that just kept going and going. We left around 12.30.

Saturday we slept in then I did some laundry before heading out to my netball game at 2. I’m not sure if I have mentioned it but Krisa and I have joined a team with a friend from work. We are called the HV Randoms and play at Jell’s Park. We’re in the lowest grade and pretty much suck but it’s good fun and good exercise. In the evening I veged out at home while Dhillon went to a housewarming in Healsville.

Today I picked up Dhillon in the morning and we drove out to Dingley to meet up with Krisa and head to the Dingley Market. We really only went there for Sheryl’s cupcakes, but did a lap of the stalls and had a food stop before purchasing the cakes. The picture below I stole from Krisa, but mine look the same. I have 2 left but they are in the fridge for tomorrow as I am all caked out today. Mum dropped by in the afternoon and that’s about it!

9th Anniversary

August seems to be the month for mourning. Today is the 9th anniversary of my daddy’s passing. He was 47 at the time and was depressed and stuck in the hole of being an addicted gambler. He took his own life. Yes, it is sad and I miss him terribly, but as they say, time heals all wounds and these days I can sit and think about him with happy thoughts rather than sad ones.

This is the only pic I have of him on my laptop, I really should get some from mum and scan them in, but you know, I’m lazy.

One Year

Today is the one year anniversary of the passing of my dear friend Dave. He was a wonderful friend and I really do miss him. He lost a year long battle to pancreatic cancer (the same that Patrick Swayze is currently fighting.) Rest in peace.

Weekender

Dhillon left early on Friday morning with a bunch of Indians to drive to SA/Adelaide for an engagement party, so my dear Krisa agreed to keep me company for the weekend.

I picked her up at lunchtime on Saturday and we made our way through the Costco traffic in Docklands to Scienceworks in Spotswood. First stop was the bathroom with the cool hand dryer. Next we had some lunch before wandering through the museum. It has heaps of interactive exhibits aimed at kids, but Krisa and I still had a great time.

After a coffee stop we headed through the museum again to watch a show in the Planetarium. I must say the Planetarium is awesome! Highly recommend you go and check out a show. The one we watched was about evolution and the Greenhouse Effect. Did you know the Greenhouse Effect has always been present on Earth? I didn’t .. you learn something new every day huh? After the presentation the guide took us through a snap shot of Melbourne’s sky at night and showed us how to find some constellations, including the Southern Cross.

5375_123664768003_501203003_2613572_1957337_n

We left at 4pm and stopped off at Video Ezy and Coles before coming home. For dinner we had roast chicken and salad while sipping on Moscato. We watched Dance Your Ass Off on Go! channel before popping in Nights in Rodanthe on DVD. We hit the hay at about 11.30.

5375_123664783003_501203003_2613575_4757118_n

This morning we woke up around 10.30 and popped over to Eastland for some breaky at .. wait for it .. the Pancake Parlour! After eating we dropped in at KMart where Krisa bought some undies and I got a lip gloss. We left Eastland and made our way to the swimming pool at Glen Waverly. We blobbed around in the wave pool for a bit over an hour which was good fun! By the time we had finished and showered we were hungry again so we had lunch at Airstream before I dropped Krisa home after our fun filled weekend!

Footpath Rage

So, most lunchtimes I meet up with Dhillon and we go to Box Hill Centro to grab some food. We meet at the roundabout which is a t-intersection for 2 streets and the driveway entrance to the multi-level parking. Today I was waiting for Dhillon, enjoying the sun and watching the people walk by. A random lady, let’s call her Jill, walked past me coming from the shops and walking to the roundabout. A small car with a female driver, let’s call her Beth, was about to come through the roundabout into the driveway.

Now most drivers will slow down and wait for pedestrians to walk across the driveway, but I guess today Beth was in a hurry. Just as Jill stepped out into the driveway, Beth also drove into the driveway. Both stopped and no accident occurred, however Beth decided to beep her horn at Jill. Now it wasn’t just one little ‘bip’ to say hey watch out, Beth let it rip ‘beeeeeep beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep beep beep beeeeeeeeeeep.’ Needless to say Jill (and most of the other people around) were a bit miffed by this action and Jill shot the finger up at Beth .. good on you Jill. Beth you’re a bitch!

If that was me I would have kicked or hit Beth’s car and probably screamed at her.

Another Week Down

Another week older.. Friday afternoon I skipped gym and went for a walk in the sun instead. Spent the evening watching some TV and shows I have dl’ed.

Saturday morning I got up early-ish, did my laundry and waited for Krisa’s mum to drop her off before I drove her to the airport. She took me some weird and wonderful way through god knows where but we arrived in time .. just. The trip home was much quicker :P In the afternoon I picked up Dhillon and we drove through the footy traffic to Chapel St for lunch and movies. We watched Public Enemies which was pretty good, although maybe a bit too long. Johnny Depp is rather nice to look at though.

Sunday Dhillon and I had breakfast at the Pancake Parlour, which is become a usual for us. I managed to hold off on the big breakfast (eggs, bacon and 2 pancakes) and had a medium stack of pancakes with maple syrup instead. I dropped him home after, then popped by mum’s house before plonking myself on the couch and reading 200+ pages of My Sister’s Keeper.

My manager arrived back from 2 weeks holiday today .. they have been a long 2 weeks and probably one of the biggest learning curves I have embarked on (acting team leader role). I am very glad she is back, I wonder if I could hug her hehe.

Be-bop

Hello, hello. Didn’t so much this past weekend.  Spent allot of it on the couch. Dhillon and I went to dinner on Saturday night at Romanza in Burwood. They had a dinner deal on the menu, 3 courses for $25 so fo course we partook in that. I had calamari salad, giant ravioli and sticky date pudding .. accompanied by a glass of wine. We came home after and lay on the couch watching Bollywood movies.

On Sunday I went to lunch with mum at Glen Waverly, specifically Airstream. Mum had her favourite honey mustard chicken salad and I had the carbonara. We walked around The Glen for a bit after to work off some of the food before heading home.

Right now I am watching Millionaire Hotseat and my friend from highschool, Thaise is competing .. that’s kind of exciting hehe.

:(

So I just got home from a late class at the gym to find 2 extra cars and a police car in my driveway/parking spot. Wondering what was going on I was met by a female cop who let me know the lady in unit 3 has unfortunately passed away. I think they had to break into her house to get to her. It’s so sad, I feel sorry for these older widowed folk who live by themselves. I always worry about Ivy (next door to my unit) and hope she will come to me if she ever needs anything.

The weekend was mostly quiet with the exception of Sunday afternoon. Dhillon and I drove out to Sandown Race Course to meet Krisa and check out the V8 Supercar race. To be honest I thought it was going to be rather boring but as soon as I heard the roar of the engines I got a bit excited. I have proclaimed to my friends I would like V8 Hotlaps as my birthday present next year! I don’t remember who won, Garth Tander possibly (hehe) I just loved the sound!

After the main race we headed down to the pitts to have a look at the cars waiting to race. We came across Grant Denyer’s car however he was not around at the time. We watched the V8 ute race followed by the ute stunt cars and finally the last car race, which Grant was competing in. After making his way to first position early on he unfortunately came 4th.

July

Tuesday afternoon I received a call from mum .. she was in hospital (in, not working in (she's a nurse)) with heart palpitations. She is OK, felt OK at the time, has seen a specialist since then and he said nothing to worry about .. she’s just getting old!

Friday evening Dhillon was busy so I emailed Krisa at work to see if she wanted to go out. We were going to go to dinner and a movie however plans suddenly changed and we decided to go to … Caribbean Roller-Rama! Sov came along too. We all hired rollerblades and went round the rink again and again. Brought back fond memories of Nunawading Skate Ranch.

Saturday I was meant to go with Krisa and Dhillon to check out the netball team Krisa and I are joining. Dhillon decided he didn’t want to come and Krisa got stuck at the airport waiting for her mum’s friend to arrive. Turns our her mum had tricked her and Krisa’s boyfriend Matt arrived from Sydney for the weekend! After Dhillon and I went for coffee in Glen Waverly we met up with the happy couple for a late dinner at Hog’s Breath Cafe in Knox.

Today Dhillon and I headed over to Doncaster for some shopping. He drove because I really hate the parking there, it makes me so angry I get car-park-rage. We found a spot quite easily for once and headed inside. We had a food stop at Groove Train before strolling around for a few hours. Dhillon bought a new laptop charger as his is busted but I didn’t make any purchases myself.

On Wednesday I have a house inspection so Dhillon will be babysitting Ninja for the night/day. Gotta clean but just really don’t feel like it right now. I will do so on Tuesday .. last minute as usual :)

Snow Day!

After 3 weeks of counting down, planning and nagging, snow day had arrived. Friday Dhillon and I had dumplings for lunch, by about 2.30pm my tummy was in knots and I was trying to stay close to the loo. I soldiered on, with the help of some antacid and after finishing work at 3.30 I went to pick up Krisa. We stopped by her house as she forgot to pack her toothbrush and I was busting to pee. We headed to Rebel Sport in Ringwood to buy a beanie and Krisa hired some pants. We then scooted over to Eastland to grab some food, I managed to eat some chicken and veggies even though my tummy was still not happy. We jumped into bed at 9-ish and while Krisa fell asleep I was awake till around 12 with my tummy :(

6575_107268438003_501203003_2379678_5000917_n

Saturday morning we woke up at 4am, rubbed the sleep out of our eyes, turned on the heater and had a shower. My tummy was still feeling delicate but I had a bowl of porridge for energy. Dhillon, Raj and Manisha arrive not long after 5 and we drove off into the morning to meet up with Sid, Vishal and Monika and headed towards Mt Buller. We had a stopover at Lilydale Maccas (they have a fireplace in the restaurant, pretty cool) and another stop in Mansfield to get snow chains and petrol and arrived at the mountain just after 9.30.

6575_107268458003_501203003_2379681_6587047_n

We hired some snowboards near the car park, which unfortunately took forever and by the time we had caught the shuttle busses up the hill we were just late for the 11am class. But never mind, we played around on the flat snow for a while and popped into the nearby hotel for a loo stop before heading to the 12pm class.

6575_107268513003_501203003_2379691_2301009_n

Our teacher Jimmy (? I think it was Jimmy) taught us how to skate our board around the flats, to slide down a small hill and do a left turn. He then took us down the Bourke St run which took us about an hour and a half from top to bottom. Once I go the hang of controlling the board I did pretty good, but I couldn’t seem to get it to turn right .. and when I stacked I could not for the life of me stand up again! I face-planted once, fell hard on my ass a good 5 times and stopped myself with my arms and bum uncountable times! Trying to stand up with the death of me, I would get my bum off the ground but when I tried to stand up straight the board would slide out from under me then my ass would slide along after it! Great fun!

6575_107268538003_501203003_2379695_2058528_n

After our lesson we caught the lift up the hill again and then went back to the hotel for some food, rest and warmth. Dhillon and Raj went out again to do a couple more runs. They finished up about 4 so we caught the shuttles back to the car park and headed home. Krisa stayed over again last night. I tried to stay up with her to watch Beaches on TV but I was so exhausted I had to hit the sack.

6575_107268498003_501203003_2379688_2309263_n

Today we had brekkie at The Pancake Parlour before I drove Krisa home.

Hello Again

Time for my weekly drive by. Friday night after gym, Krisa and Linda came to pick me up and we went for dinner at Knox. We ate at Red Salmon, I have never been there before and was pleasantly surprised. We had garlic bread to start, I had carbonara for mains and we shared 3 desserts. We sat and chatted for a while, it was good to see Linda as we hadn’t caught up for a while. She randomly gave me an Oroton coin purse as a gift .. very beautiful and I have been using it every day since.

Saturday I skipped gym class and did laundry. Dhillon and I headed over to Jenny’s house in Southbank so I could try on her snow clothes. The fit well which will save me about $30 renting them. We headed over to Brunswick St for a quick lunch (late breakfast for Dhillon) before coming home. We stopped past Dhillon’s house to get some movies, and by Safeway to get some food before coming back to my house for a night in.

Sunday we stopped by my Nan’s house before having Maccas for lunch.

Jinx?

Is it a jinx to have picked out the song I want to dance my first dance to at my wedding. I’m not engaged or anything, I just love the song!

The Book of Love – Peter Gabriel (from the soundtrack to Shall we Dance)

The book of love is long and boring
No one can lift the damn thing
It's full of charts and facts and figures and instructions for dancing
But I
I love it when you read to me
And you
You can read me anything

The book of love has music in it
In fact that's where music comes from
Some of it is just transcendental
Some of it is just really dumb
But I
I love it when you sing to me
And you
You can sing me anything

The book of love is long and boring
And written very long ago
It's full of flowers and heart-shaped boxes
And things we're all too young to know
But I
I love it when you give me things
And you
You ought to give me wedding rings
And I
I love it when you give me things
And you
You ought to give me wedding rings
And I
I love it when you give me things
And you
You ought to give me wedding rings
You ought to give me wedding rings

Amnesia?

I must be getting old cos it’s only Tuesday and I can’t bloody remember most of what I did this weekend. Friday I just hit the gym after work then came home and hung out with Ninja on the couch.

Saturday I went to the gym in the morning and Dhillon came over for a bit in the afternoon. He had to go to a dinner in the evening so I was on the couch again .. I watched Harry Potter 1 on TV hehe.

Sunday I drove out to Krisa’s house and we walked with her puppy Jasper to the Dingley market. We walked around to check out the market stalls, and to find Krisa’s friend Sheetal and her family. Her husband Trinity is someone I used to work with at Stellar so that was nice to see him. After chatting to them for a minute or two we stopped off for a sausage in a bun and a drink before wandering over to the stall we really came for. Krisa’s friend’s cupcake stall .. we bought 6 of different flavours and one baby cake. Surprisingly we managed to not eat any until we made it back to Krisa’s house (after Jasper walked me home). The cupcakes were awesome, best I’ve had!

In the afternoon we went to Southland to watch Ice Age 3 in 3D .. it was pretty cool and I think the 3D element made it even better.

EOFY

Hurm what did I do this weekend .. oh yes :P

Friday after work I picked up Krisa and we toddled off to Southland where we dropped in at Rebel Sport to enquire about hiring snowboards and gear for our Buller trip in July. After walking around the centre for a while we had dinner at Grill’d (mini moo) before I dropped her home and made it home to my house in time for Grey’s Anatomy.

Saturday I spent the day on the couch watching So You Think You Can Dance USA and Lipstick Jungle. In the evening I picked up Dhillon and we drove out to Chadstone for dinner at Nandos. After eating we met up with Krisa, who had just finished bowling, and got ready to watch Transformers 2. The cinema was packed out so it was lucky I had booked on line and we had back row seats. The movie was awesome .. love Bumble Bee and the twin cars.

Sunday Dhillon and I slept in and after I drove him home I once again plopped onto the couch.

Now tonight I am going to win my share in the 90 million tatts draw so next time I blog I will be rich! Hehe

:)

Friday night my dearest, darling, sick little Dhillon forced himself out of the house to come and cook me dinner. He cooked Alfredo pasta topped with a tomato and chicken sauce .. it was surprisingly delicious. Thanks hunyo!

Saturday morning I went to gym class, then in the afternoon I picked Dhillon up and we went to Ikea. I was specifically looking for a corner table, didn’t find one though. There was heaps of cool stuff and I could have spent allot of money in there, but I controlled myself and we left empty handed.

In the evening we met up with Bob and his new wife Soni at Chapel St. She has just come over from India and this was her first night out on the town .. if you can call Chapel St a night on the town *shrug* We had some drinks at Hoo Haa, La La Land and Electric LadyLand before stopping by San Churros for desert and hot chocolates. Bob and Soni had never had churros before .. I think I converted them!

Sunday afternoon Dhillon and I went for a late breakfast at the Pancake Parlour. I had my usual, bacon, scrambled eggs and 2 pancakes with organic maple syrup .. totally defeats the point of going to the gym, but yummy! We came home and watched ‘Zac and Miri Make a Porno’ on the laptop before I drove him home.

Weekend Wrap Up

Thursday after work Dhillon and I headed over to Doncaster for some food and a movie. We had Sumo Salad for dinner, I had a chicken and mushroom one, he had pumpkin soup. We watched ‘The Hangover’ .. verry funny movie, I highly recommend it!

Hangover

Friday was our last day in Burwood so we spent the day at work busy packing, boxing and labelling our desks. In the afternoon I hit the gym before Krisa came by for some shopping at Eastland. We had dinner in the food court and desert at the Chocolate Lounge. I saw a Stussy jacket that I liked in General Pants but I had no money. Krisa had already been paid so she spotted me for it .. yay! Gimme your bank details woman so I can give you your money.

350__2_IS9526-STUSSY-1600M

Saturday morning I got up early and met Kelly at gym for the Body Combat class. Had a shower at home and went over to Forest Hill Chase to get a gift voucher for Jun and Linh. In the evening I picked Dhillon up and we went to Jun’s wedding. It was a Viet style banquet, so food galore. We were sat on a table with some nice people, one of the couples had a gorgeous baby boy so we were all entertained by his giggling. Jun and Linh looked amazing and everyone had a great time! They are off in Fiji for a week now.

Sunday Dhillon and I watched State of Play at Glen Waverly before having dinner at Mocha Joes. The movie was OK .. dinner was awesome! I had carbonara, but it wasn’t your typical carbonara, this one had minimal sauce and heaps of mushrooms and bacon. Yum yum!

Today was the first day in Box Hill. Unpacking was done by 10am and we are slowly settling in.

Long Weekend

Another week, another blog. My dearest darling hunyo is on annual leave, I’m totally jealous cos it was so cold to get out of bed at 7am this morning.

Thursday night Dhillon stayed over so I cooked us dinner. I was going to make spaghetti and meatballs, but I am super lazy so I cheated and used skinned, sliced chorizo sausages instead. Was actually pretty yummy!

Friday I went to work while he lazed around my house, snoozing with Ninja. In the evening we went to watch the new Terminator movie at Crown with Jimmy V, Vishal and his wife and Chinmay. I really enjoyed the movie, except the boys were all talking and giggling the whole way through the movie .. crazy peeps!

terminator-salvation-poster

Saturday I spent a lazy day on the couch watching The Hills and Lipstick Jungle .. until 1.30am. Yep, couch potato to the max.

Sunday Dhillon and I went to Glen Waverly to watch I Love You Man. It was really funny, I recommend you go to see it. Before heading home we stopped by Bobs Kitchen for a dumpling and chicken soup feast. I dropped Dhillon off and then decided to pop in on mum. I was there for all of 5 minutes when the phone rang and it was her best friend, or sister .. one of the two, so I left to let them babble to each other and came home to watch more Lipstick Jungle.

iloveyouman

In the evening I picked up hunyo again at 8 and we picked up Jimmy V before getting to Jimmy K and Sid’s house. There I met their mates Mayuur and I can’t remember the name of the other dood. After a couple of drinks I drove us to Melbourne Park for Winter Sound System. It was a pretty good night. Hisense arena was packed out for Armin, Rod Laver was full to the top as well with people partying hard. We left at about 4, dropped half the boys off, then Dhillon, Jimmy V and I had Maccas brekki before I dropped them both off at their respective houses and got into bed at 6am.

Needless to say I slept till 1pm on Monday and spent the rest of the day on the couch again.

Update Time

I’m getting pretty slack with my updates, apologies to Robyn, Krisa, Tayo and Trang .. my 4 lovely readers hehe.

Last Friday I picked up the car and then proceeded to drive my sister into Richmond for her bf’s birthday. I miss Bob, but Reginald goes well and has lots of power.

On the following Saturday I picked up Krisa and we went for a cruise down Beach Rd to St Kilda. The day was perfect so there were heaps of bike riders out and about. We had lunch at Street Cafe (I think) .. I had a delicious chicken pasta. On Sunday I cleaned the house. Dhillon had gone to the Grampians with his mates so I had to entertain myself.

On Tuesday I took Miss Ninja to the vet on my way to work .. she was getting de-sexed this day. When I picked her up in the evening she had a little white bandage around her leg where they had put the drip in. It was so cute! She also has some stitches in her tummy that will need to come out this Friday.

Thursday evening Dhillon and I went to watch Angels and Demons. It was pretty good, better than the first one I think, seeing as I slept through the first one on DVD. On Friday Krisa and I went out to eat at Taco Bill. We both had burritos, followed by ice cream nachos and flan .. it was super yummy.

Saturday morning I got up early-ish to meet up with Kelly at the gym for Body Combat class .. my arms and back are feeling it today! In the afternoon I picked up Dhillon and he drove us to Chadstone for some window shopping and a coffee with his mates. We came home to feed Ninja and then went to the local pub for a meal and to watch the footy. When we got home we watched some episodes of Merlin in bed before sleeping at 1am.

Today Krisa came to my house and we went and met Jenny, Kelly and her friend Elizabeth in the city for Yum Cha. It was awesome, as usual. After face stuffing Krisa and I went to watch Night at the Museum 2 at Melbourne Central. It was really good .. and now I am home, and rather tired :)

Hi

So I suppose I should give an update seeing as it has been 2 weeks. Last weekend I think Dhillon and I went to watch Star Trek. I am not a Trekki but I quite enjoyed the movie. The only thing was Spok. The actor playing him is also in the TV show Heroes, his character in that is Syler who is the evil bad guy so I kept expecting Spok to turn out to be the bad guy. He didn’t though!

Work has been good. I am doing less payroll and more helping with issues and projects. With the new girl starting tomorrow I will be moved out of WA payroll permanently and officially be a part of the Payroll Resource Team.

This weekend started early for myself and Krisa. We both had booked in an annual leave day on Friday to hit a day spa. I picked her up from her mum’s work at 9.30 and we drove into Docklands for some breakfast and shopping at Harbourtown. Krisa bought a few bags worth of stuff while I was not feeling very inspired. At 12pm we drove back into the city and made our way to Sakura Lounge for an afternoon of pampering. Whilst walking we bumped into Linda and Ben who were out and about.

We started off with a half hour foot massage followed by an hour long full body shiatsu massage and finally an hour long facial. It was all awesome, my favourite was the massage. When I sat up from that I felt like I had been asleep for days. The facial was very relaxing too. When we finished at the spa we caught the tram up to DFO for some shopping. I then realised I had left my jewellery at the spa so we had to go back there to pick it up, before retuning to DFO for some shopping. This time I made a purchase, some new pants for work from Portmans.

After shopping we walked back to Crown to get the car. We were trying to organise a dinner with Linda but unfortunately she couldn’t find anyone to drive her out so we had to re-schedule. Krisa and I ended up eating at LaPorchetta in Heathmont. We both had pasta and garlic bread and were full! Once we got home we fluffed up the pillows on my bed and hopped in to watch the finale of Americas Next Top Model Season 12 (yay Teyona!) and the first 5 episodes of The Hills season 1. By this time it was midnight and we were both ready to zonk out after a long relaxing day!

America's Next Top Model

Saturday morning we woke up rather early, showered and got dressed and out for the day. After breakfast at Maccas we picked up Dhillon and Gurpreet and headed out to Honda in Narre Warren (Gurpreet lives out there). I test drove the new City which was nice, we also looked at a second hand Accord Euro but it had leather seats which I really didn’t want. Dhillon thinks I’m weird cos of that, but leather is uncomfy. It gets hot in summer, cold in winter, you sweat into it or it burns you .. ergh. Anyway we decided to keep shopping and so we dropped Gurpreet home before heading back to Doncaster.

At Doncaster Honda we spotted a couple of nice cars and I finally decided on a 08 Civic vti-l. I wasn’t necessarily ready to buy on the day but this was a car too good to be true. It is less than a year old and has only gone 400 kms. The reason for this is it was originally at a Honda dealership that was burnt down. 95% of their cars were write offs so their insurance company wrote them all off. The guy who had them sold them to other dealerships and I was lucky enough to walk in there on the right day. After some bargaining and a test drive I signed on the dotted line for my very close to new car! I get to pick it up on Friday, and I will be trading Bob in so someone else can enjoy him :)

Saturday night Dhillon picked Krisa and me up and we went into the city for 2 birthdays. We stopped by a bar in China Town but Dhillon’s friend was running late and hadn’t arrived so we couldn’t have a birthday drink with her. We then drove to Seven and met up with Michael Boyen for his birthday celebrations. Dhillon’s friends met us there later in the evening. We had a great time, Krisa and I were both rather drunk and danced till our feet bled .. almost literally! Krisa spent the night again and I drove her home today before stopping by Kelly’s house for afternoon tea with Jenny and Erryn.

Friday evening I hit the gym hard, then Dhillon called to say we were going out to dinner with Raj and Manisha for Manisha’s birthday. Krisa came along with us cos she was originally going to come to the bbq with me. We ate at Vic Harbour in Docklands. I had the Thai beef salad which was yummy, followed by deserts shared with Krisa: lime crème Brule and mango panacotta. All this was accompanied by wine and a cocktail (French martini) courtesy of Mikey. Drove everyone home and Dhillon stayed over. He was on the couch watching the IPL cricket and didn't come to bed until 3.30am!

Saturday we got up and I drove Dhillon home after stopping by Aldi for some grocery shopping. In the afternoon I did the laundry and cleaned up my drawers, got rid of a few clothes I don’t wear anymore. In the evening Dhillon picked me up and we went to Nathalie’s house in Mitcham for her birthday party. Saw some of the old Stellar people, along with old high school friends. It was great to catch up with them all. Dhillon had another party to go to so I stayed on, drinking many beers, and talking crap. Nat drove me home at 3am.

Sunday was a day of a hangover headache so I stayed on the couch and watched Twilight, for the first time, and How to Lose Friends and Alienate People. Both were good.

I Suppose I Should Update

Biggest boomba final is on TV so I will watch that and type at the same time hehe.

Friday after work I went to the hairdresser to have my extensions taken out. My hair is actually a lot longer than what I though, but heaps thin hehe. Looks OK, I’m happy to have them out and be able to scratch and scrub my head in the shower. I will get them put back in again some time soon. After, Dhillon came to pick me up and we went to Doncaster to watch The Boat That Rocked in Gold Class. It was very nice and the movie was pretty good too, much better than what I expected. We got home around 11.30 and hopped into bed after he got angry at Ninja for wanting to play =\ lol.

Saturday I went to see the Chiropractor. At my old gym they had free sessions and I had told him about my neck and shoulder stiffness and the pain I get in my left shoulder occasionally. He took some X-rays and it turns out the spine in my neck doesn’t curve at all. He did some adjustments, also known and cracking hehe, and I have to see him again to try to get it fixed and stop future problems.

In the evening Krisa came by and we went to Knox to watch Fired Up. We arrived a bit early so we went to Bar Bosch to have some dips and bread, and a drink. So we ate and chatted and then when we finished there was still 45 minutes till the movie started. We weren’t sure what to do but then Krisa decided she wanted to try the iced dough-vo, Krispy Kreme’s new donut, so off we went. I had one too and a hot chocolate, while she had a coffee. Finally it was time for the movie, and it was pretty good, I giggled the whole way through. After we went to Grill’d for dinner, we both ordered the mini moo burger and couldn’t even finish the whole thing cos we were still full!

FiredUP

Sunday I was going to go to the gym but it was wayyy too cold to even think about it hehe. In the afternoon I picked up Dhillon and Krisa and we went to the Comedy Theatre to watch Dave Hughes. I’m not a fan of him, the other 2 are, but I still had a good time with lots of giggles. After the show we headed to Shanghai Dumplings for some dumplings and rice. Yum yum!

Sunday again

Hello again, time for the weekly update it seems. Tuesday my dear Dhillon decided to go and sign up a new phone on 3, he got the HTC Touch Pro. As he had changed phone carriers I decided I would change too so I could still call him for free. So I signed up too and got myself a Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 .. a PDA type phone, Sony’s answer to the IPhone. After some initial confusion over how to use Windows for mobile I am quite happy with my purchase.

Thursday afternoon I went down to Gensis gym in Ringwood to sign up. Got a pretty good deal with no joining fee, turns out to be less that what I was paying for Contours .. I just have to go an cancel Contours now.

Friday I finish at 3.30pm so I went over to Eastland to do some shopping. I bought some new runners, cos mine were almost 3 years old, 2 pairs of gym pants and a Nike t-shirt that was on sale for $15. After shopping I came home to wait for Krisa to go and have a very late dinner. We were going to have dumplings at Glen Waverly however when we arrived both Bob’s Kitchen and J&G’s were packed out with a queue. Being as hungry as I was we decided to eat at Shine instead. I had the pennelicious with chicken and Krisa had coconut crusted prawns. I had a glass of wine and she had a mocktail. We also shared a slice of lemon meringue pie for desert.

Saturday morning I got up early and met up with Kelly at Genesis for my first class. We did BodyCombat which is based on martial arts. Although I felt a bit unco I had fun and it was a good cardio work out. I will keep going, unless I stay out late on Friday night of course! In the evening Dhillon picked me up and we went into Etihad Stadium to watch the footy, St Kilda vs Freemantle, with Raj and Manisha. We had some tickets from the St Kilda football club so we had seats really close to the ground. I’m not a footy fan at all but it’s good fun being there and being in the atmosphere of the fans. St Kilda won, just in case you care :) The boys wanted to have a drink so we stopped into the sports bar .. which turned out to be the bottom level of what used to be Sirens .. Ahh the memories hehehe.

Today I had an appointment at the gym to write my program. We an through it and now my arms are quite tender. My program consists of half an hour of weights (chest press, free weights, leg press, squats and lunges, rowing machine, sit ups and leg lifts) and half an hour of cardio (15 minutes of interval training on the treadmill and 15 minutes on the cross trainer) Oof! In the afternoon Dhillon dropped by and we watched Dragonball Evolutions the movie which he had downloaded.

Tomorrow I am off to the gym again, with Kelly this time, to do some cardio .. if I did weights tomorrow I think I would die.

Meanwhile my mum has been away this weekend. For a few months she was talking about how she was going to a conference in Sydney. My mum is a nurse and she goes to nursing conferences quite often so I just assumed it was another one of those. Turns out she was going to the Supernatural Convention! OMG what a dork! She totally loves the show and I just got an sms from her tonight saying she has had the best weekend in her life and that she got autographs and got to talk to the 2 main actor guys.
