Friday I managed to sneak out of work 40 minutes early, due to the system being down. The flip side was I had to receive some work related calls on Friday night and Saturday, but that’s OK. For dinner Dhillon and I went to Mum’s house. Marty and Robyn came along too and we enjoyed lasagne and chocolate mousse, both home made by Mum. She gave us some gifts from Italy and Egypt and showed us some of her souvenirs and photos. Dhillon was sleeping over so we set up the bed and watched Tooth Fairy on the laptop before nodding off.

Saturday we spent a lazy day on the couch and then went to Maccas for a late lunch. For dinner I cooked up some chicken drumsticks and made a tomato and avocado salad. Unfortunately the avocado was not quite ripe enough yet so not so flavourful.

Sunday Krisa came and picked me up at about 2pm and we went to Eastland for some shopping for the BCCS Ladies Night Out that evening. I purchased 2 tops and she bought some jewellery. Once we were shopped out we made our way to Albert Park to check into our hotel for the night, Bayview on the Park. Krisa curled our hair (unfortunately mine fell out, damn my dead straight, thin strands) and we put our faces on before picking up Jenny from her flat in Southbank. At 8pm we all drove down to QV and met up with Trang, Mai, Lynh and Jenna at Strike bowling bar. We played one game and had a drink and some food and then all of us (minus Jenna) came back to the hotel where we got changed into mini skirts, dresses and heels and downed a few Cowboy shots. Once we were all appropriately skanked up we called a taxi and headed to Fantasia night club in St Kilda. Sov had organised an rNb night and we had a VIP table booking. We downed a few Wet Pussy shots and danced a bit before being sent upstairs to our table and bottle of vodka. We drank and danced and took photos till the wee hours of the morning. I was OK up until it was time to leave, once in the car the alchy went to my head and I watered the pot plant out the front of the hotel with my mouth … and the toilet bowl once or twice. I also somehow managed to take out my contacts, remove my jewellery and get changed into my PJ’s before getting into bed, none of which I remember.

Today we woke up at 9.30 as Mai had to go to work. Krisa and I figured we would get up and go home too. Once I stood up my headache kicked in and I felt sick still. I ate some strawberries to get something into my tummy, but 10 minutes later they came back out again, meaning a Maccas run on the way home was out of the question. When I got home I tried to sleep but had trouble nodding off so I came out to the couch and force fed myself some Migoreng noodles which made me feel better (along with 2 ibuprofen tablets).

Had an awesome night ladies, although next time I should be the driver so I get tipsy rather than trashed :D And in other news, I now have a car park under the building at work, so I get to save some money and stay out of the rain :)

Last week was pretty insane at work, this week will be the same, so on Friday night I curled up on the couch with some food and wine and zoned out to some TV.

Saturday morning I got up a bit earlier than I normally would and waited for Suzanna. When she came we made our way to Mulgrave Maccas to meet Krisa who was keeping her friend Jess company while her car was serviced. When we arrived, Jess departed and Krisa had purchased hot cakes, hash browns and orange juices all round for brekki yom, yom, yom! After face stuffing we jumped in the car and were on our way to Dromana to visit Cassie and her two 6-month-old Labrador puppies, Miley and Baily. We took them for a walk on the beach and when we came home we made some nachos for lunch. After relaxing on Cassie’s couches for a while we went to Cold Rock in Rye for an ice cream. Once we had finished there we had to head home as Krisa had bowling and I had to get ready to go out with Dhillon. He picked me up at 6.30 and we went into Hardware Lane for Vishal’s birthday. We started off at Charlie’s Bar for drinks and then had dinner at Vons.

Sunday Dhillon and I spent a lazy day with me watching TV shows and him snoozing on my shoulder. In the evening (Monday morning really) I went to the airport to pick up Mum returning from her Italy/Egypt trip. I got home at 3am and was very glad I took the day off today (Monday). So today, once I woke up, I went to pick up Mum so she could get her car out of my garage and then I went to Mele’s place to meet her new baby Christian. He is only 15 days old and very cute, even when he was farting on me! Once I said good bye to mum and baby I went to Robyn’s house as Mum was going to drop by. We had lunch and a cup of tea and listened to stories from Mum’s trip.

Friday after work I got home, saw that Krisa had messaged me that she was already on her way, so rushed to get changed and touch up my hair and makeup, ready for a night on the town … and by ‘the town’ I mean Costco!

After fighting our way through footy traffic we arrived at our destination. Walking up to the building was slightly intimidating as it is sooo huge. After waiting a few minutes for Trang and Sheryl (our Costco member) we got ourselves a huge trolley and made our way inside. Krisa and Trang were instantly mesmerised by the giant wall of Coke cans and stood there taking pics for a few minutes while Sheryl and I walked through. The inside of the building was a huge as the outside, but as it was full of aisles that were packed from floor to ceiling it didn’t feel so large. I didn’t buy anything for myself but got some home products for Dhillon and the others bought some candy and fruits. After making our purchases, and pulling the girls away from the super cheap hot dogs, we made our way to Vic Harbour for a feed. I had Thai Beef Salad followed by the dessert of the day which was a pile of meringue, whipped cream and berry compote (or cumpot according to Trang). I also had a lovely Lady Long Island courtesy of Mikey and was tipsy for the ride home!

Saturday I met up with Kelly and Jenny for lunch in Box Hill. We went to good old Dumpling King and to our delight, they had yum cha on the menu. We ordered 7 different types of dumplings, Chinese broccoli and then some dessert. After talking for a few hours we headed home. i then dropped in at Eastland to purchase a gift for Robyn & Marty’s new house that they were moving into that day. i made my way over there to check it out and ended up staying for a few hours, talking and helping with the unpacking. Their house is very nice, bathroom is amazing!

Sunday Dhillon came over in the afternoon with some DVDs and food. We watched Funny People and then a drama that I can’t remember the name of while chowing down on some Chinese takeaway food.

Tomorrow I am staring work at 11am, which would be nice for a sleep in, if I didn’t have to work all the way through to 11pm. I then have to start at my normal time of 8 on Wednesday and possibly stay late both Wednesday and Thursday. The things we do for a job we love.

And to end my blog tonight I would like to add a mini-rant. I don’t like people who are passive-aggressive. I don’t like people who change their Facebook or MSN status to veiled insults and insinuations or pleas for sympathy. I don’t like people who expect a free drink/meal/ride and never return the favour. I don’t like people who don’t turn up to my birthday party then don’t make contact with me after. I don’t like people who play ‘the victim’ all the time. I don’t like you.

Happy Easter muffs. Hope you all had a good one with lots of chocolate.

Thursday evening Kelly and I went to Dumpling King in Box Hill for dinner. Jenny was supposed to join us but was struck down with a migraine in the afternoon. We ate dumplings, spring rolls and noodles and were happily stuffed full. We ran into some Stellar people who were there for a team dinner and caught up on some of the goss. One of the managers’ wives had a baby recently, his name is Xy and he is super cute, half Tongan, half Aussie.

Friday Dhillon and I went to Vishal and Monika’s house for a bbq along with Jimmy, Sid and Sid’s new wife Jaspreet (I think it was Jaspreet … Jas-something). Although it was Good Friday we did eat some meat, but also had some fish as well. I am Agnostic so eating meat on Good Friday was not the end of the world for me. We had lamb cutlets and Gummy shark fillets marinated in Tandoori sauce and some sausages. It was the first time for everyone meeting Sid’s wife and I’m sure it must have been hard for her being in the spotlight seeing as she had only arrived from India the week before! Her English was excellent and I hope she had a nice afternoon with the crew. Dhillon stayed over that evening and after having Hungry Jacks for dinner we hit the hay … but I had to kick him out to the couch at 3.30am due to the loud snoring coming from his side of the bed.

Saturday we went to Gumbuya Park which is a national park located in Nar Nar Goon. They have some animal enclosures you can walk through featuring emus, kangaroos and birds, lots of bbq areas and some rides. The last time I went there I was a small kid and I remember the rides, which are still the same to this day: toboggans, paddle boats, mini cars and quad bikes. We didn’t go on any but browsed through the animals instead. It was a nice day out and only $12.50 entrance fee each (rides were $4.00 each or $32.00 for unlimited rides). In the evening we went to Raj’s house for dinner. Manisha was at work but Raj’s brother Sunny was at home. We watched a movie and then spent some time going through Sunny’s photos from both Dhillon’s recent trip to India and past trips as well. We all had a good laugh and Raj cooked us up some chicken curry and a pea and tofu curry as well. It was Raj’s birthday on Sunday, so at midnight the boys draped him in a Happy Birthday necklace and took a bunch of photos of him. I drove a very drunk Dhillon home after midnight and tucked him into bed. That day I had purchased some ear plugs from the chemist and when I hopped into bed I put them in. To my delight they blocked out 90% of Dhillon’s snoring sound so I had a peaceful night’s sleep without having to kick him to the couch.

Sunday we had a lazy day watching TV shows and eating eggs, both real ones and chocolate ones that my Nan & Pa dropped over. In the late afternoon I took Dhillon home and he went out in the evening with the girls to a dinner.

Today I cleaned up the house, as I do most weeks :P and it was lucky that I did as my sister Robyn and her boyfriend Marty dropped by with some more Easter eggs. They stayed for about an hour and we talked about their house they are moving into together next weekend. Big steps! Sister and BF living together, best friend and BF soon to be living together … I’m sure my turn will come soon enough and I will be then longing for the days of living on my own ;)
