Friday night I headed to my old work Stellar to pick up Dhillon and Kelly before driving to the Belgian Beer Cafe in the city. It was a pretty humid day and as we were driving down Wellington Rd a small thunderstorm hit followed by huge chunks of hail! Luckily we made it to Crown in one piece and found some parking on level 1 before walking to the Cafe which is near Eureka tower. The Cafe was pretty busy but Mel had some reserved tables for us. Had a couple of drinks and some chips before heading back home at about 830pm. I had to drop Kelly and Dhillon back to work as their cars were still there and when I turned off the freeway at Elgar Rd there was a random breath testing stop. My first test since I’ve been a full licence-er .. and I passed of cos hehe.
Saturday I had to wake up early to put on a dress (and leggings and a cardigan and a jumper) for Erryn’s hen’s day. Got to her house at 10am and had a glass of champagne for breakfast. We went to the Caulfield Races for the day, on a tour bus. About 25 of her friends and family were there and luckily there were a couple of footy clubs there as well to keep the drunk girls happy. Kelly and I sat in the stands with a blanket on our laps like nannas. Erryn got pretty drunk, as every hen should, but hopefully she had a good day. Arrived home at about 630pm and I was exhausted. Dhillon went to watch the footy in the evening at the local pub, he goes for the Saints and they lost, so at 1030, after I checked to make sure the game was over I called him to make sure he was OK and not crying in a corner .. he didn’t answer though so I called again just in case. Still no answer. I waiting for about an hour wondering if he was OK and hoping he would call, but he didn’t so I called him again, a bit worried at this time. He answered after a few rings and it turns out he had gone out to his friend Bob’s place, so I got a bit angry that he hadn’t bothered to tell me where he was going nor answered his phone.
Today we had planned to spend some time together, and knowing he had been out the night before I figured he wouldn’t wake up until the afternoon .. and I was right. He came online at 12-ish and we couldn’t think of anything to do so we decided he would come here to chill out. Now apparently it takes him 45 minutes to get dressed and ready to come to my house, even though I live 5 minutes away from him. We made plans for him to come at 1pm and not to be late. It got to 120pm and he wasn’t here so I called him .. no answer. After Saturday night this kind of pissed me off, so I waited 10 minutes and called him again .. still no answer, I called him 10 minutes later and 10 minutes later after that .. finally he answered and what had he been doing? SLEEPING!!! By that time I was so angry all I could do was cry .. he finally made it to my house at 230pm!! Normally that would be OK but tonight I had plans with Krisa so she was picking me up at 330pm, so all I got to see him this weekend was a couple of hours on Friday and one hour today. Men!!!
So Krisa picked me up and we headed into Box Hill for a late lunch/early dinner. We went to David and Camy’s and had our usual noodle and dumpling fest, along with some soya bean milk and coke for Krisa. After eating we tried to find a car wash on the way to this city but couldn’t actually find one. We found some parking in the city but were almost an hour early for the movie so we went to Gloria Jeans in Melbourne Central for a coffee/iced chocolate. After sipping that it was time to go up to Hoyts for our movie. We watched The Mummy 3 in Directors Suite, a night her social club puts on occasionally. It was OK the movie but not as good as the first 2, still I enjoyed it, now I’m really tired though, missing my sleep in on Saturday made me a bit cranky.
This week and next weekend I will be spending time looking at rental properties as I have decided to move out. I knew it was time when my mum swore at me for using too many dishes to make a cake .. Hopefully I can find somewhere soon!
