First things first, the friend mentioned in the previous blog did forgive me for my terrible actions. Thankyou.

Friday evening Dhillon and I went into the Docklands for Joan’s farewell dinner and drinks. Joan is from Stellar and it was good to catch up with people from my previous work place. Her unit is amazing with a view to die for, however they have now made the move out to Geelong way for her husband to pursue work opportunities. We had dinner at Renzo’s which is an Italian style restaurant/bar. I had lasagne which was very nice. After dinner I dropped Dhillon off at Brown Alley where he met up with Raj and his brother for a night of clubbing.

Saturday we played netball. It was a really good game, we played hard for once and only lost by 3 goals. It was a close match! In the evening, Dhillon and I took Ninja to Suzanna’s house so she could meet Rocket. Everything seemed to be OK when we let Ninja out of her carrier, but then Rocket hissed at her and she got scared and didn’t want to know anyone, not even me. She spent the evening behind the TV which we watched a DVD and ate some delicious pizza from Crust. I though Dhillon might sleep over but he wanted to go home, so I let him, amid promises he would come over on Sunday and cook dinner for me.

Sunday Krisa came to pick me up at 1-ish and we went to Eastland for a feed and a massage. We ate at the Pancake Parlour and browsed a few of the shops before making our way to the massage shop. I had a neck, shoulder and upper back massage which was painful, but in a good way. I headed home after to wait for my chef to arrive and cook me dinner … alas he told me at 4.30pm that Raj had got him tickets to a concert. Needless to say I was pissed and he has a lot of making up to do, let me tell you.

Dear Monkey,

I have been thinking for 2 weeks now how I can make up for being a mole. I was going to send you a gift in the mail … but I am too poor for postage. I was going to make you an apology card and send it to you … but we are not 13 years old anymore. I have said sorry … but that was not enough. I am not sure what else this poor (literally poor) girl can offer apart from a public apology here on my blog.

My dear friend, I am sincerely sorry and hope you can find it in your heart to start talking to me again.

Hullo again. Thursday evening Dhillon and I went out to dinner with family. My Uncle John (Dad’s brother) and his wife Tiana and my 2 cousins Ella and Lily (beautiful names, beautiful blonde, blue-eyed girls too) were in town to visit, they live in Brisbane. Robyn, Marty and Mum came along, as well as Nan and Pa. We ate at Enrik’s Restaurant in Blackburn, I had Thai Beef Salad which was very nice, and Mum and I shared some gelato. It was great to see them, but I had forgotten how much my Uncle looks like my Dad so it was a bit hard to look at him at first. That feeling went away in no time and it was an enjoyable night out with the fam.

Friday Mum came over and after putting her car in my garage, I taxied her to Melbourne Airport to catch her flight to Rome, Italy. She is away for 4 weeks doing a Trafalgar tour and also visiting Egypt. I have heard from her today so she landed OK and is on the first day of her tour.

Saturday we played netball. When the starting siren blew we only had 4 players, luckily Jen turned up just in time and we hit the courts with the 5 of us. Another one of the girls showed up not long after and even though we ended up with 6 on the court, it was a full on game with lots of running. We lost but definitely got a good workout out of it. In the evening Dhillon and I went into the city to attend his friend Pam’s birthday drinks. We picked up Mayur on the way and met Pam and her friends at the hotel they were staying at. Once the girls were ready we walked to New Guernica (formerly F4) and proceeded to have a few drinks and a dance. Dhillon, Mayur and I left sometime after midnight.

Today we spent the day being lazy, watched some TV and had chicken and avocado rolls for lunch, I had one for dinner too! My thighs are sore from the crazy netball game and spending the night in heels, which I haven’t done for a long time. I also jarred one of my fingers during the game so it is a bit tender too .. Krisa and I have personal training tomorrow evening so I am going to be dead by the end of the week I think.

Things that annoy me about the toilets at work

The feeling of dread when you walk into the cubicle and the toilet lid is down … what on earth will you find underneath *shudder*
When there are drips next to the bowl
When people leave 2 sheets of toilet paper on the roll and don’t replace it
People who don’t wash their hands
People who pretend to wash their hands under a half a second stream of water
People who you know are only using soap to wash their hands because you did, and they don’t bother to make a lather
People who complain if it smells … I’m sure your shit doesn’t stink, does it?
People who pee out half a millilitre, what’s the point of that?
People who flush before they sit down, or don’t flush properly when they finish, or … don’t flush at all ewww.

Hello. Had a lovely weekend this one just past, let’s start at Friday shall we? I left work at 3pm as I started early on Wednesday morning. I used the time to make an appointment for the real estate agent’s handyman to come and have a look at my heater. He was an hour late, but I can forgive him due to the fact he fixed the thermostat and I can now turn the heater on and not worry about it heating the house to 40 degrees and beyond!

In the evening Krisa came to my house to give me a quick hair snip before we headed to the Docklands, specifically Medici for a dinner date. There we met up with Sheryl and waited a few minutes for Trang, Mai and Lynh to arrive. We were all starving so ordered straight away and sat gossiping and sipping wine/cocktails/mango juice until our meals were served. I had lasagne which was yummy, but it was a massive serve so I couldn’t finish it off. Mai’s friends Jenna and Sarah arrived a bit later as they had to work until 9pm. Sheryl had brought us some of her yommy cupcakes for dessert so she and Krisa went off to the car to get them … and returned with 2 drunken men in tow. They were fascinated by the box of cupcakes Krisa was carrying and wanted to know what was inside. They eventually gave up when Krisa refused to show them and ran off once they had spotted some hotter other girls to annoy (phew!) It was a great night and something we should do more often!

Saturday I woke up early and took Reginald in for his 10,000km service. I found a neat website where you can book in your service for a fixed price, hence the site name www.fixedpricecarservice.com.au Definitely worth a look next time your car is due for a tune up. Reggie was ready to go around 12.30 so I made a quick stop at Hungry Jacks cos I was starving and went home to get changed for netball. We won the first game of the season with the help of some new team members and hopefully we can win some more. In the evening I was pretty tired so I watched some TV before hitting the hay.

Sunday afternoon Dhillon came to pick me up and after stopping at a car wash to wash all the bird poop off his car, we drove up to Olinda. We had a meat pie from Pie in the Sky for lunch and then a coffee and milkshake at another cafe. We dropped in at the lolly shop and came out with some candy, a Dr Pepper for me and a Big Red Soda for him. Yom!

Blog time. Friday after work I hit up the treadmills at the gym and after woods I hit up my couch and watched some movies whilst doing a couple of loads of laundry.

Saturday morning Kelly came over at 10.30 and we made our way to Fitness First in Chadstone to pick up Mel who is visiting from Perth. We met up with Jenny at Medici Italian restaurant in the Docklands for a leisurely lunch date. I had carbonara which was very creamy and I couldn’t finish it all. That being said I still had room for dessert, I ordered lemon meringue pie which, when it came out, was more like a lemon sponge cake with meringue on top. It was surprisingly tasty and light so my tummy wasn’t too full. Kelly and I left Jenny and Mel at Harbourtown at 2pm and made our way home. The storm hit here at home about 5 minutes after I walked in the door. The hailstones out here were only 10 cent piece sized but it was still pretty scary. I found out later Jenny had parked near the place I had parked my car and she was stuck in the carpark due to the road being flooded. Needless to say, Kelly and I were glad we left at the time we did!

Sunday afternoon Dhillon brought over some DVD’s and we watched a couple of movies. I cooked up some pasta bake for dinner. Today we went to watch Alice in Wonderland in 3D which was pretty cool (personally I think Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was better, wish that one had been in 3D!)

Edit: Forgot to say I cooked breakkie this morning, eggs, bacon, baked beans and english muffins .. and we ate our first meal on my new dining table .. woo

Another month down, my how time flies as we get older. Friday after work I made my way into the city to meet up with my old friend Vinh. I hadn’t seen him for a few months and it was good to catch up. We had dinner at Taco Bill (beef burritos mm mmmmm) on Russel St and the caught a movie at Melbourne Central. We watched Wolfman … it was pretty silly. Lots of suspense music and scenes to make you jump.

Saturday I was feeling bored so I called up Mum to see if she wanted to watch The Blind Side with me. Turns out she was planning to watch it anyway, so I picked her up and we watched it at Glen Waverley. It is a wonderful feel-good movie, I think I had a goofy grin on my face the whole way through. I do recommend you go and see it!

Sunday Krisa and I went to the Chinese New Year festival in Glen Waverley. We mainly went to hit up Sheryl’s cupcake stall ( www.cupcakecentral.com.au ) but when we arrived Sheryl was MIA. Thin (her bf) told us off for being late and that as they were almost sold out, Sheryl had gone home to bake some more. Krisa and I stuck around for a couple of hours, hoping to get our fix, but unfortunately we missed out and went home empty handed … but with tummies full of sugar cane drink and Bubble Cup!

Yesterday after work I met Dhillon at Ikea in Richmond and purchased a small dining table and 4 chairs. Dhillon came home to help me put them together and it is now all set up in my kitchen. I ate dinner on the couch last night though! That being said, here is a conversation I had on the phone with Dhillon this afternoon:

Me: Krisa might be moving to Sydney

Dhillon: Ohh noooo, what are you going to do?

Me: Be sad and lonely :(

Dhillon: Don’t worry, you have a new table now, you’ll be OK

Me: *silence*

Lol he makes me laugh <3
