My heart's a stereo
It beats for you so listen close
Hear my thoughts in every note
Ohh ohhh
Make me your radio
And turn me up when you feel low
This melody was meant for you
Just sing along to my stereo

OK, Ghost Adventures is over for another season so I can blog again. Last weekend, the long one, was a big one for me! On the Friday night my Mum came into the city and we went for dinner at Essence which is the restaurant in the Marriott Hotel. I had a baby beetroot salad for entre and salmon with (super yummy) potato mash and asparagus. After dinner we wandered up the road to Her Majesty's Theatre to see Dr Zhivago the Musical. It was really good and we both greatly enjoyed it .. Anthony Warlow has an amazing voice!
On the Saturday, Dhillon and I drove down to Dromana for Cassie’s birthday party. We stayed overnight at the Dromana Hotel, along with Suzanna and her boyfriend Steve who were in the room next to us! We had dinner at the restaurant in the hotel before getting ready for the party. It was a fancy dress with the theme being ‘childhood memories’. Dhillon and I went as Wednesday and Pugsley Addams, Suze was Mini Mouse and Steve was Maverick and the birthday girl was a care bear. The party was great fun and we stayed out until about midnight.
On the Sunday Dhillon and I took the long way home, stopping off in Mornington for brekki and then at Southland to watch the new XMen movie. Monday was spent on the couch with Laura and her friend Denise, watching ‘Americas Hardest Prisons’ marathon on the cable TV.
This weekend I had netball on Saturday then Dhillon came back to the city with me before he went out for a birthday. Today we went to DFO in Cheltenham for some shopping and I bought a warm wool jacket and a knit dress for half price from Esprit!

So I haven't blogged for a while and I’m not going to recap the missing weeks .. deal with it.
Friday night after work I came home, tarted up and then Dhillon and I went to Spice Market for his friend Laura’s birthday. I had never been there before and was pleasantly surprised. The place has a warm exotic decor with a bar at the front, a sunken dance floor and private rooms around the borders. The crowd was a mix of business people and, as the night wore on, a younger crowd. Everyone was friendly though and the music was a good mix of top 40 pop and dance, rnb and some oldschool tracks.
Saturday I played netball, we lost. Dhillon went out for dinner with his friends while I had a roast lamb prepared by Laura. I curled up in bed not long after and caught up on TV shows, which is also what I did all day Sunday!

So the weekend before last was pretty quiet which is why I didn’t blog. This one was much the same although Friday night Dhillon and I joined Suzanna and some other ex-Skilled people at The Glenferrie for her birthday. We stayed for a few hours, had a few drinks and took a few photos. Yesterday I played netball .. we lost, and today I went to visit my mum.
Nice and relaxing

Last weekend was pretty quite, which was very nice for me. It seems since I have been living in the city, quiet weekends have been few and far between.
Friday I hung out at home watching some TV shows and the cable. Saturday I played netball, which we won. Dhillon came along to watch and after the game we went back to Mum’s. Robyn & Marty will be moving back in with her for a while so they can save up to buy a place. The are currently helping Mum clean up the place and also painting the upstairs rooms. After I showered, Mum cooked us all up a lasagne dinner along with a few drinks and Vienetta incecream for dessert. Dhillon tagged along home with me so we watched a couple of movies before I hit the hay and he watched some cricket.
Sunday we went to a park in Ringwood to try and fly a kite. Marty was going to throw it out so I snapped it up. The kite flew, but not for long. It seemed to be off balance and kept diving to the right before hitting the ground. We gave up after half an hour or so then I dropped Dhillon off and came home. Once I was home I decided to rearrange the living area to create more room, the place looks nice now

Friday night after work Sov, Trang and Khrissa arrived at my house. This was not a random event, we were all going out to meet up with Lynh, Mai, Jenna & Marcus for dinner at Quanjude. Trang had picked the venue due to a discussion about peking duck that was had last time Khrissa was down. We ordered a 5 course banquet which was pretty tasty. It was great to have a BCCS catch up, minus Sheryl, plus 2 boys, and even joined in singing ‘happy birthday’ with the table next to us. After dinner Mai and Sov deserted the group to head to their respective homes while the rest of us went to a bar called Hoarse Bazaar to see Trang’s bar tender friend Jimmy. He wasn’t working that night so after Khrissa, Marcus and I had a Saki-for-Japan we made our way over to Retro. Jenna thought we might get in for free as she knows the DJ, but unfortunately they wanted to charge us $15 entry so we decided not to go in and all headed our separate ways.
Saturday I played my first game of netball for the season. We won, 28 – 7. It was kid of boring as the ball barely came down my end of the court! After netball I picked up Khrissa and we came back to my place to eat and get ready for the evening. Once we had face stuffed a load of pizza we caught a cab to Rod Laver Arena for Usher’s OMG Concert Tour! I had bought Khrissa a ticket for her birthday and after patiently waiting 4 months the night had finally arrived! Mai and her friend (who I forgot her name) came along with us too. The Potbelliez opened the night with 5 songs followed by Trey Songz. Trey played for an hour, he has a lovely voice but boy does he have tickets on himself. After Trey was a short toilet/drink/food/stretch legs break the man himself took the stage. The concert was AWESOME! Better than going to see Ne-Yo, but only cause Ne-Yo only played for an hour, Usher played for 2 1/2, I knew all the songs and he even did a tribute to Michael Jackson. It was fantastic and I would love to go and see him again.
After the concert Khrissa and I walked to Crown to meet up with Dhillon who was out for his friend Pam’s birthday. We went to the club upstairs called Fusion and danced and drank until Dhillon got kicked out for being too drunk hehehe. I decided I didn’t want to deal with him snoring in my bed so I told Raj to take him home. Raj had been encouraging him to drink anyway so he could deal with it!
Sunday morning I drove Khrissa home and then picked up Dhillon from Raj’s house and drove him home, before dropping Raj off in the city. Yes, I played taxi, but that’s OK. The rest of the evening I spent on the couch catching up on TV shows.

OK I’ve been lazy with my blogs again, so sorry. So 2 weekends ago my friend Mel was over visiting from Perth. We caught up for a Yum Cha lunch in Chinatown, along with Kelly, Erryn & Tahlea. It was great to see all the girls and catch up with all the goss. After lunch, Dhillon called me out to meet him, Raj and Manisha at Federation Square. From there we walked into the city to have some food at Pancake Dessert House. We then decided it was time for a drink so went to the rooftop bar at The Carlton for a while. Once we were done there the boys decided they wanted to go to the Gin Palace, so we all had a cocktail there before heading over to 24 Moons for a drink for Dhillon’s friend’s birthday!
That Sunday we woke up early for Andrew to pick us up and drive us out to the Avalon Air Show. It was a pretty cool day, the fighter jets are amazing to watch as they zoom around the sky. We stayed for a good 8 hours or so watching the planes and checking out the ones on the ground.
This weekend just passed was a long one down here in Melbourne. On Friday night Laura and I had a pizza, poutine and wine feast before KO’ing in front of the TV. Saturday I caught up with Bec and her baby Michael who is 3 months old now. We ate at the Pancake Parlour which was yummy, I had a short stack of pancakes with organic maple syrup and a side serve of cottage fries.
Sunday Dhillon came over and we went to watch The Adjustment Bureau at Melbourne Central. We then watched more movies at home, including The Mechanic and Scary Movie 3. Monday I drove Dhillon home and then went to Mum’s place to wash my car. Robyn and Marty were there too and it was good to have a catch up with them as well!

Mm long time, that’s cos the building manager somehow managed to disconnect our internet for 2 weeks. Mmm hmmmm. So where did we leave off ..
3 weekends ago I caught up with JT for lunch on the Saturday. He picked me up from my place and I was expecting him to arrive in his Skyline … but no, he turns up in an Audi TT, niiiice. We had lunch at The Noodle Place (or something like that) on Southbank where we shared some duck wontons, spring rolls, noodles and roast pork. After lunch he let me drive the car home hehehe. In the evening Dhillon and I went to TGI Friday’s (yes, again) for Monika’s birthday dinner. After dinner they wanted to have drinks so we (again) went over to Bar Katuk for a few bevvies before heading home. On the Sunday Dhillon and I had lunch with Robyn, Marty & Mum down Lygon St and then chilled out for the rest of the afternoon.
2 weekends ago I caught up with high school friends Nathalie and Mele for dinner at Sofia’s in Camberwell. Mele brought along her 10 month old baby boy Christian who provided entertainment for us all evening. Sunday afternoon I met up with Suzanna, Nicole and Jamie (all ex-Skilled employees) for lunch at Schnitz. Jamie had to leave after eating so us girls strolled along Glenferrie Rd doing some window shopping and scoffing some macarons.
Last weekend Dhillon and I did some shopping on Saturday afternoon before heading out to Malvern to check out his friend Chinmay’s new unit. Chinmay’s wife Ushma cooked dinner for us along with Vishal and Monika and Kashish and his wife. I had a lovely time with the girls drinking lots of wine. On Sunday Khrissa and Matt came over and we went for breakfast at The Pancake Parlour and then watched Gnomeo & Juliet in 3D down at Melbourne Central. After the movie I drove them to the airport and got home in time to see Sheryl and Cupcake Central on the the TV!

So Friday was my birthday, yay me. I started the day off in a boiling hot room at a breakfast meeting on Collins St. Once that was finished I made my way to the office to spend the day without the rest of my team … yup it was great. Kim made time in her day to take me out to lunch which was good, we scoffed some dumplings from Shanghai Village. After work I met up with Tim (he works across the road from me) and we went down to Trunk. Cheryl and her friend Brooke were next to arrive, followed by Laura, then Raj and finally Dhillon, Jimmy, Chinmay and his wife Ushma. We had a few drinks and shared a basket of hot chips. Around 7.30 the rain started so everyone from the beer garden squished into the building. In a break in the rain we made our way outside under one of the big umbrellas. We were waiting for the rain to stop before we headed home, but as there was no signs of it letting up we made a run for it. Alas we were all dripping wet once we made it home, so to warm our insides we decided to play a drinking game. Laura’s friends came over too and we played ‘Circle of Death’. Oh my lord, we drank 1 litre of gin within about 40 minutes. Dhillon and Raj stumbled out at about 10pm and I spewed in the loo and then face planted in my bed not long after.
Saturday morning I woke up and felt ill from not eating any dinner. I forced myself to eat some porridge then had a shower and went to the hairdresser. I had my roots done, along with some highlights, a wash, a trim and she straightened it for me. Once I was done I came home and had some lunch then headed out to the airport to pick up Mum. On the way home, Bulleen Rd and Xavier College were flooded from the rain so we had to go the long way. I got back home around 6pm and started to get ready for dinner straight away. Khrissa arrived around 7 and we went downstairs to catch a taxi. The poor taxi driver had been driving in the floods the night before and his car kept stalling due to the water in it. He dropped us off on Chapel St and we walked up to TGI Fridays where my birthday dinner was to be held! Khrissa’s friend Marcus met us out the front and Cass, Bec and Ben were already inside. Dhillon, Vishal and Monika arrived not long after, followed by Linda, Sov, Lynh, Ly & Kevin and Trang. We had garlic bread with chilli flakes for entree, I had chicken fajitas for mains and Khrissa and the girls shared dessert. After dinner we all went to Katuk Bar which is pretty nice. We scored a couch and had a good talk over a few drinks.
Khrissa and Dhillon stayed over at my place (not all in the same bed mind you) so on Sunday morning we got up and went down to Russell St to check out the Chinese New Year festival. We had some food at Chinabar and checked out the Lion Dancers before I drove them both home.

Mm time for another lazy blog. Saturday Dhillon and I went shopping to Doncaster to get new phones and a birthday present for me. I got the HTC pictured in the post below and Dhillon got the HTC Trophy with Windows 7. I decided for my birthday he could pay for me to have a hair colour and blow wave so I have booked that in for this Saturday.
Sunday I went out to see my friend Bec and her meet her new baby boy Michael. I had cuddles for about 3 hours and he is super cute!

Last Friday after work I scooted off to the airport and jumped on a plane to Sydney. My Aunty Carol picked me up from the airport and we made our way into the city for a drink. She had wanted to take me to Blu Bar on the top level of the Shangrila Hotel as it has awesome views of the city. We ordered a cocktail each and managed to score a seat near one of the floor to ceiling windows which we gazed out of while having a catch up. My Aunty is almost 50 but we get along very well, she’s like a friend! Once we got home I took over my younger cousin’s bedroom and hit the hay pretty much straight away.
Saturday morning my Aunty dropped me off at the local shopping centre, Castle Towers. I wandered around for an hour or so making a few purchases until it was time to surprise Khrissa. Matt and I had been planning it for weeks, he had told her that he needed to meet his friend Ben (me!) at the shops to collect some money and she should come along for the ride. When I popped out in front of her she looked at me with mouth and eyes wide open, then at Matt, then back at me before screaming out ‘Oh my god!!’ hehehe, we got her good. Once Khrissa had calmed down a bit we decided to grab some food at one of the cafes. Matt decided to have an omelette with almost everything included, when it came out it was huge and he couldn’t finish it all. When we went to pay it turns out the omelette cost $40!!! After food we watched Burlesque at the cinemas and then headed to Matt’s house to pick up Khrissa’s stuff as she wouldn’t be spending the weekend at his house any more! Once she was all packed up (and I changed clothes as I was boiling in my jeans) we drove to The Rocks for some food and a cold drink. Not long after Jenny Oh turned up and we all headed out on a ghost tour of the area. We walked around for 2 hours hearing stories of hauntings and experiences. After the tour we dropped into the Guylian Cafe which was pretty disappointing, but at least the aircon was nice and cool!
Can you see the ghost lady in the window?
Sunday Khrissa and I spent the afternoon with my friend Jay. He took us to Bankstown to eat pho and then we went to Manly for an icecream from Cold Rock. It was good to catch up with Jay, he came to Sydney for the weekend especially to see me, he lives in Canberra these days. In the evening, Khrissa and I had dinner at a restaurant at Hornsby Westfield before heading home.
Monday my Aunty and I headed into the Sydney Art Gallery to see the terracotta warriors exhibition. It was really interesting and we spent about an hour and a half wandering around. We had lunch at the cafe at the art gallery before making our way home. In the evening Khrissa came to pick me up and we drove into the city to meet Jenny for dinner in Chinatown. We ate satay beef, beancurd & vegies and crispy fried pork ribs with spicy salt. Nom, nom, nom.
Tuesday I spent the day on the couch watching movies and tennis with my cousin James. After work Khrissa picked me up and we went to Castle Towers for some food at Mad Mex (yum!!!) and to watch Tangled in 3D.
Wednesday we got up early and Khrissa and I had breakfast at Castle Towers before she dropped me off at the airport. Mum picked me up in Melbourne, after my flight was 30 minutes late. As soon as I got home I had to scoot out Honda to get them to help me put my new numberplates onto Reggie, the old one was held in with a bolt I couldn’t get undone. Once I was done there I had to get Samurai to the Vet for her next booster injection.
Thursday I had my first game of netball for the year. It was hard and my legs are sore today hehe.

I’m getting lazy with my blogs … and today will be no exception hehe.
I was sick last week, developed a lovely cough followed by a blocked nose, just great. Friday evening Dhillon and I caught the tram up St Kilda Rd to ModOz indian restaurant for Sid’s birthday. We had some chicken dishes for entre and curries with naan bread for mains. I could only eat the dahl as the spices in the other curries were burning my throat.
Saturday Dhillon and I spent the day on the couch before I drove him home in the afternoon. I dropped by Mum’s place while I was there to pick up the suitcase she bought me as a birthday gift. I spent the evening on the couch after stuffing some Subway in my gob.
Sunday morning Robyn & Marty came over to collect the bed that had been taking up room, it is now safely housed in Mum’s garage. I spent the rest of the day on the couch nursing my illness.

Hello 2011, nice to meet you, thankyou for bringing me a throat infection. Dhillon, Krisa, Matt and I brought in the new year with the help of Mr Armin van Buuren at Etihad stadium with 19,994 other people. Saturday morning Krisa cooked us up some breakfast before we all watched some Jersey Shore on the Foxtel and they headed off back to Mama' K’s house.
Sunday we were due to go to karaoke with Markus & Mikey and their crew but I woke up with a sore throat that got worse as the day went by. Instead we went for dinner at Grill’d followed by dessert at Passionflower. Yesterday I spent the da on the couch nursing my illness. Today I went into work for half the day, with a newly acquired cough. I met up with Sheryl, Trang, Krisa, Matt, Lynh & Harvey for lunch at Duck Duck Goose in QV. I had the pork ramen which was pretty tasty. We then headed over to Passionflower yet again for dessert.
