Merry Christmas

Hope you all had a lovely lunch or are looking forward to a great dinner and Santa brought something nice for you. I went to lunch at mum’s with Dhillon, Robyn & Marty and grandparents. Robyn and Marty did all the cooking, chicken, pork, potato and mass salads along with dips and breads, cheeses and fruits, followed by lemon meringue pie! Oof! Krisa is coming over tonight for a quiet dinner with Dhillon and myself so that will be nice.

The all important gifts included a diamond ring from Dhillon (not the engagement type, pretty white gold with 5 small (small) diamonds in it), perfume and a weather station from mum, perfume from Robyn and some face towels and a voucher from nan & pa.

After lunch and gifts I took mum’s new Mazda 3 for a drive. It’s very nice, much more powerful than mine and a nice shiny red. Tomorrow we will be hitting Eastland for a bum fight in the Boxing Day sales!

Presents!

Dhillon just arrived with the first part of my Christmas gift. A Ja’Dore gift pack. Has body lotion, shower gel and perfume in a pretty Dior makeup bag. He had it gift wrapped at the Myer counter so it had Christian Dior wrapping paper and a cool Dior sparkly ribbon which is now wrapped around my head like a headband! Hehehe.

Hi there

So it’s been a couple of weeks since my last update and to be honest I can’t remember what I did last weekend so it can’t have been too exciting .. I’m sure it was something lovely with Dhillon hehe. Oh no I remember now, I went home from work early on Friday cos I had an upset tummy and the runs, that lasted till about Sunday morning. Saturday night we went out to some techno club but my tummy couldn’t handle it so we came home at 12.

Tuesday I went out to dinner with Kelly now she is back from her holiday to Hawaii and Las Vegas. She has also started a new job and seems super happy. Alot more relaxed than I have seen her for a while, but who wouldn’t be after going to Hawaii!

Thursday Dhillon came over after work. He brought some beer with him so we ended up having that and Texan BBQ Shapes for dinner. Was quite disgusting hehe. He stayed over that night.

Friday after work Jodie came to my house before we headed off to our centre’s work Christmas BBQ at our boss’s joint in Mooroolbark. His house was lovely and despite the rain, the temperature wasn’t too bad so it was a good night. For my KK gift I got some hot chocolate with some nice mugs. Quite happy with that. We had dim sims cooked on the BBQ, zomg it’s the best thing ever!

Saturday got up early and Krisa and I headed out to Doncaster Shoppo in the rain. We managed to find a park fairly easily and hurried into the centre. We did a full lap, and probably a half before actually buying something. We got a gift for some woman we know, she bought new shoes (surprise surprise), and talked me into buying some too .. and I got gifts for my grandparents and Dhillon’s Christmas gift which was Peter Alexander pyjamas and an Ipod nano which he loves. In the evening was the Skilled Christmas party held at Peninsula at Docklands. The venue was nice, a big hall, lots of drinks, a bit of finger food and some good music. I had quite a few champagnes so Jodie, Dhillon and I danced the night away, until midnight then it was time for the girls with sore feet to go home hehe. Dhillon stayed over again, wearing his new pj’s and we didn’t get up till midday today.

In the afternoon we went to Knox to watch Slumdog Millionaire, an Indian movie. Was pretty good, Dhillon really enjoyed it. We grabbed some food on the way home and he just left an hour ago.

Tayo Inspired Me

So, me being a sticky beak and rather bored, I was browsing through photos on Facebook. Tayo recently updated her album of her and Dave so naturally (yes, naturally) I took a peak through and in doing so I noticed something weird ..

In 90% of her photos with Dave, Tayo stands to the left of him (next to his right hand). In 90% of my photos with Dhillon I stand to the right.

Can someone please explain to me if this is some strange couple thing?

Pimped

Welcome to the new and improved Moo’s Ramblings .. lovingly pimped by Krisa. Thanks luv.

On Thursday evening Dhillon and I went to watch the new Bond movie. We watched at Vmax at Doncaster. The cinemas there are really nice, obviously because they are new .. the sound was really good too, highly recommended. Can’t wait to go Gold Class there too, I think it would be heaps nice. Only annoying thing is the car parking. EVERYONE still wants to go there so the parking is always full. Probably a good idea to go on a Friday after 9 or Saturday evening. They have some nice restaurants in the upstairs area as well.

Last night was Krisa’s birthday dinner. After heading to Eastland to buy some wrapping paper for her gift Dhillon came and picked me up and we went to Docklands in the rain and hail. Dinner was at Liquid Bar which we found after walking through a wind tunnel and a water feature .. that being the whole of Docklands. For my meal I had dips and bread for entre, prawn ravioli for mains and Winda and I shared churros and sticky date pudding for desert. Dhillon had seafood paella which filled him right up and he complained all night of a full tummy.

Today we woke up around lunch time and went to Eastland for breakfast the the Coffee Club. We walked around a few shops and in Dick Smith I mentioned I was thinking of buying a keyboard (the musical kind not the computer kind) so Dhillon got all excited and we went to Billy Hyde Music in Blackburn and bought one .. he bought it for me but he has spent the last 2 hours playing it himself. I have had one turn on it, just to show him how to read the music and he’s been hogging it since! I’m gonna learn then be in a rockband lol.

6 Weeks Till Christmas

Today Dhillon and I went shopping for a Christmas tree. Looked at Big W, KMart and Myer and they were so expensive and big. Ended up getting one from the Reject Shop which is pretty cool, it’s smallish and has fibre optics on the ends of the branches so no need for lights. Got a bunch of decorations too, looks pretty :)

Weekend Away

To celebrate our anniversary Dhillon and I headed down to Rye and Sorrento for a weekend away. We both had Friday off work and after a nice sleep in we got up, packed some stuff and off we went.

As we left it started to rain and unfortunately it didn’t stop until the early hours of Saturday morning. It took us just over an hour to get to our accommodation, Peppers Moonah Links Resort which was situated in Rye on a golf course.

069

They actually held the Australian Open golf tournament there a couple of years ago. The room was really nice with a view out onto the greens. We went into Sorrento to have a look around but by them time we got there it was 5pm and the shops were closing. We stopped by La Porchetta for a snack and then went back to the resort to relax and watch some TV.

At dinner time we went to Pebbles Restaurant at the resort. It was nice and romantical with a beautiful view out over the golf course and an open fire, it was a shame it was raining though as we missed out on the sunset. We ordered a bottle of red wine and had some food, I had lamb loins and Dhillon had fish. For desert we shared a tiramisu.

Saturday we woke up at 9 and after showering went to Ashcombe Maze. They have Australia’s oldest and largest hedge maze along with a lavender labyrinth and a rose maze. There was also other gardens and a lake on the property. We had breakfast in the cafe before venturing out to the maze, and it was lucky we did as it rained while we were eating. Once the rain cleared we started in the hedge maze, next some of the gardens then the rose maze.

006

When we had finished at the grounds we went to a place called the Blow Hole. The tide was out so we could walk right down on the rocks and there was a spot where you could see through the cliff to the other side, which was the blow hole. It was super windy but still pretty cool.

064

We then went back into Sorrento to the back beach and walked up the hill to the lookout. Took some nice photos up there and apparently on a clear day you can see Philip Island. By this time it was about 2pm so we went back into the town and had a coffee and vanilla slice at the place that apparently sells the best vanilla slice in Victoria. I remember seeing it on travel shows etc, and yes the slice was pretty damn good.

We watched Burn After Reading at the cinema which was very cute and cosy. The movie itself was not really my taste but not the worst thing I have ever seen. In the evening we grabbed some fish and chips and watched Tokyo Drift on TV in our room.

This morning we checked out then went to Rye for breakfast. After we ate we went to the Peninsula Hot Springs where I had booked us in for a dip in the pools then a private bath for 2. There were 5 pools in the public areas with the ones up the hill being the hottest at almost 42 degrees and the ones down lower warm like a bath. The water felt amazing on my skin, even the really hot ones. We went in for our private bath which was the spring water with some essential oils added, in a spa bath in a room for 2. We relaxed in there then when our time was up we headed home.

Food makes me

HAPPY!

Just got home from the best dinner I have ever had. Dhillon took me out to eat for our 2 yr anniversary (even though it’s not till Wednesday he got in early). We went to Tao’s Restaurant in Bulleen. They serve a set menu of Asian and Euro style food. 7 courses of deliciousness along with 2 glasses of wine and lavender tea (the tea was surprisingly good).

1st – Appetizer - Was a set item on the menu called ‘Chef’s Selection’. Came out on a plate that was like 3 small plates joined together, with 3 small bite size foods. One was some fish and pickles in a shot glass, the middle one was a salty sardine, maybe even an anchovy, on top of a scallop and the third was some sort of pickled stuff on a mint leaf.

2nd – Entree - I had a seafood salad that came out with a prawn, scallops and mussels with lettuce, tomato and a spicy sauce, there was also wasabi smeared across the plate. Dhillon had a chicken and spinach pancake which had some chunky peanut chutney on the end.

3rd – Soup - Dhillon had cream of mushroom which was delicious and I had ginseng and chicken broth which was also good, but more subtle than the mushroom soup.

4th – Another entree I guess - Another set item, grilled mushroom kebabs with oyster sauce. The kebab also had apple, avocado and capsicum between the mushroom pieces, was beautiful. I love mushrooms :)

5th – Mains - I had steak served on a sizzling volcanic rock. They heat the rock up to super hot then put the beef on it raw and by the time it comes to your table and you cut into it it is cooked to rare/medium rare. Dhillon had baked fish with a miso cream sauce which smelled yummy.

6th – Rice - Came out with the mains. Wasn’t anything special, just oiled, had a slight salty flavour to it.

7th- Desert - We both had crème brule which was yummy. The top was crunchy and the custard was creamy.

Best dinner I have ever had, thanks hunyo :) Next weekend we are going to Sorrento for 2 nights in a fancy pants hotel, along with a visit to Hedgecombe Maze and the Peninsula Hot Springs. All this for out anniversary s2

Last night I had organised a housewarming BBQ expecting about 10 – 15 ppl to show up, turns out only 2 of Dhillon’s friends and Krisa and Winda came but we had fun. Drank Soho, ate BBQ food, played Wii and had a good laugh. Everyone who didn’t come can kiss my fat ass.

23.10.08

Hii

So here I am in my new house (unit). Will be 2 weeks on Sunday, just got the net connected yesterday hehe.

Moving day was insane. All my deliveries arrived before I made it to the house for the first time, but only had to do 2 trips with Marty’s ute to get my stuff over here. I didn’t sit down for the whole day, 8am to 10pm and by the time I got into bed a conked out. The following night was odd cos it was really windy outside and there were all these unfamiliar street and house sounds, so I really didn’t get much sleep. Things now are great, I’m nice and settled, only thing left to do is put the computer desk together in the spare room and unpack the last few bits and pieces.

I haven’t met any of the neighbours yet. There are 4 units in my block and I think each one only has one person in it, 2 older ladies, a middle aged man and me. I’m at the front which is good. Still need to buy cooking pots and pans and things like that, but I will buy them as I need them, and an iron but I didn’t realise how bloody expensive they are!

Before the move Kelly and I went to Erryn and Chris’ wedding. It was really nice, she looked like a big gorgeous meringue and he cried hehe. The food was nice and the people on our table were cool to talk to as well. Apart from that haven’t done anything much in the way of excitement.

6.10.08

:)

So I am almost set for the move on Saturday. Got towels and cushions and a lamp and some cutlery from Target during the week, also tried to get back into the gym, only been 3 times in the past 2 weeks cos I’ve been busy.

Saturday Dhillon and I spent another fun filled day shopping. We bought a fridge, washing machine and microwave for $1,200 with free installation and delivery. They all turned out to be LG haha. Also popped into the furniture place to pay the balance for my purchases. In the afternoon we went to the movies, he wanted to watch Eagle Eye and I wanted to watch Wall-E. Neither one of us would give in so we ended up watching both! Wall-E at 400 then Eagle Eye at 630 hehe.

In the evening we went to pick up Bob and Michael before heading in to Chapel St. Michael is a really tall, well built guy, and as we picked him up he looked at my little car and couldn’t imagine himself fitting in. He actually offered me to drive his brand new BMW 7 series (like brand spanking new) but cos it is so big I thought I might have trouble parking it. Lucky he fit into my car quite comfortably.

Sunday was a really lazy day, even though I was the designated driver and only had a couple of drinks I was so bloody tired that I just fluffed around on my bed all day.

Today is a public holiday in South Australia and cos I pay SA people and there wasn’t going to be much work to do today I took the day off to start packing. It’s so annoying, I think I have a layer of dust in my lungs lol, oh well, it will all be over soon enough :D

Weekend

First, and most importantly, yesterday was Dhillon’s 25th Birthday. Still wishing him a very happy birthday xox

000_0037

Thursday after work we headed off to Chadstone to buy a birthday present. He had no idea what he wanted so we walked around looking for things. He eventually decided on a widescreen flat-panel monitor for his computer which he is very happy with. By the time he picked that it was 830pm and I was ready to chew my arms off for dinner, so on the way home we stopped at Sofia’s in Burwood for a giant meal. I had pasta and he had chicken.

Friday evening I stooped at Kmart on the way home from work as they had a home sale on. Ended up buying a toaster and a kettle along with a wire basket. I took the basket with me to Dan Murphy’s and filled it up with about 15 different types of beer. This was the surprise part of Dhillon’s birthday gift, I think he liked it :)

Saturday was his actual birthday so we went for brunch (his breakfast, my lunch) at the Pancake Parlour. Went to Godfrey’s as they had a sale on this weekend and bought a nice new vacuum cleaner. After that we started talking about furniture and ended up heading to Nunawading to have a look through the home maker shops. I was thinking of getting a Fantastic Furniture house package for 2 thousand. We went to check it out but also looked at a bunch of other shops along Maroondah Hwy as well. I ended up finding some good bargains which were much better quality than what I would get at Fantastic. From a shop called Furniture Galore I got a 2 seat sofa and a 3 seat chaise lounge in a creamy coloured velour for $999. From another shop, I can’t remember the name .. I got 2 bedside tables, a tall boy, a coffee table and an entertainment unit in a dark finished timber for $1350. I’m very happy with my purchases.

Saturday evening we decided to use the Gold Class vouchers I have to watch Step Brothers at the Jam Factory. By the time we made it in to Chapel St we only had about half an hour to eat so we headed down to Lamb for a yummy kebab. We has seats in the front row of the cinema but that’s OK when you’re at Gold Class as you can lean back in comfort. We ordered some wedges and a glass of wine and champers. The movie was really good, we were laughing the whole way through, I recommend it!

step-brothers-poster-big

Today I spent some time going through my boxes left over from the last time I lived out of home. Turns out I have a full set of plates and bowls along with some cups and cooking utensils. Now I just need to buy some white-goods, some more cups and mugs and some cutlery, also some towels and things like that and I’m set!

MOVING

Yesterday after work mum and I went to check out a unit in Ringwood that was open for inspection, and today I also went to check out two more in the same area. I handed in applications for all 3. On the way home I dropped by Coles and as I was strolling the aisles my phone was ringing. It was the real estate agent letting me know that I was successful for the place we had looked at at Monday!

In 2 weeks time I will be moving to Ringwood!! It’s a 2 bedroom unit with a garage and small backyard with a clothes line. It is being renovated by the owner, so it will have new carpet, new curtains and fresh paint by the time I move in. So exciting!!

Weekend Review

Friday night I headed to my old work Stellar to pick up Dhillon and Kelly before driving to the Belgian Beer Cafe in the city. It was a pretty humid day and as we were driving down Wellington Rd a small thunderstorm hit followed by huge chunks of hail! Luckily we made it to Crown in one piece and found some parking on level 1 before walking to the Cafe which is near Eureka tower. The Cafe was pretty busy but Mel had some reserved tables for us. Had a couple of drinks and some chips before heading back home at about 830pm. I had to drop Kelly and Dhillon back to work as their cars were still there and when I turned off the freeway at Elgar Rd there was a random breath testing stop. My first test since I’ve been a full licence-er .. and I passed of cos hehe.

Saturday I had to wake up early to put on a dress (and leggings and a cardigan and a jumper) for Erryn’s hen’s day. Got to her house at 10am and had a glass of champagne for breakfast. We went to the Caulfield Races for the day, on a tour bus. About 25 of her friends and family were there and luckily there were a couple of footy clubs there as well to keep the drunk girls happy. Kelly and I sat in the stands with a blanket on our laps like nannas. Erryn got pretty drunk, as every hen should, but hopefully she had a good day. Arrived home at about 630pm and I was exhausted. Dhillon went to watch the footy in the evening at the local pub, he goes for the Saints and they lost, so at 1030, after I checked to make sure the game was over I called him to make sure he was OK and not crying in a corner .. he didn’t answer though so I called again just in case. Still no answer. I waiting for about an hour wondering if he was OK and hoping he would call, but he didn’t so I called him again, a bit worried at this time. He answered after a few rings and it turns out he had gone out to his friend Bob’s place, so I got a bit angry that he hadn’t bothered to tell me where he was going nor answered his phone.

Today we had planned to spend some time together, and knowing he had been out the night before I figured he wouldn’t wake up until the afternoon .. and I was right. He came online at 12-ish and we couldn’t think of anything to do so we decided he would come here to chill out. Now apparently it takes him 45 minutes to get dressed and ready to come to my house, even though I live 5 minutes away from him. We made plans for him to come at 1pm and not to be late. It got to 120pm and he wasn’t here so I called him .. no answer. After Saturday night this kind of pissed me off, so I waited 10 minutes and called him again .. still no answer, I called him 10 minutes later and 10 minutes later after that .. finally he answered and what had he been doing? SLEEPING!!! By that time I was so angry all I could do was cry .. he finally made it to my house at 230pm!! Normally that would be OK but tonight I had plans with Krisa so she was picking me up at 330pm, so all I got to see him this weekend was a couple of hours on Friday and one hour today. Men!!!

So Krisa picked me up and we headed into Box Hill for a late lunch/early dinner. We went to David and Camy’s and had our usual noodle and dumpling fest, along with some soya bean milk and coke for Krisa. After eating we tried to find a car wash on the way to this city but couldn’t actually find one. We found some parking in the city but were almost an hour early for the movie so we went to Gloria Jeans in Melbourne Central for a coffee/iced chocolate. After sipping that it was time to go up to Hoyts for our movie. We watched The Mummy 3 in Directors Suite, a night her social club puts on occasionally. It was OK the movie but not as good as the first 2, still I enjoyed it, now I’m really tired though, missing my sleep in on Saturday made me a bit cranky.

This week and next weekend I will be spending time looking at rental properties as I have decided to move out. I knew it was time when my mum swore at me for using too many dishes to make a cake .. Hopefully I can find somewhere soon!

Hi

So, first blog from my NEW LAPTOP, yeah. Hehe it's very pretty and fast and the keyboard is nice to type on.

Weather's been lovely, went to the beach on Friday  night for about 5 minutes cos it was way too windy, was a nice drive though. Yesterday I made Dhillon wake up early to come out with me and enjoy the sun. We went to Powerhouse, then to Stellar so he could change the recording tapes .. then to Mount Dandenong Sky High lookout, then to Doncaster to check out the new Westfield. In the evening we came back here to hang out for a bit then went to Jenny's birthday at her apartment in Docklands. After the party we went to Se7ev with some of Dhillon's friends before heading home.

Awards Night

Another Stellar awards night has come and gone, the 4th one to be exact. This year I was still an invited guest (next year I'll have to pay). It was held at the Plaza Ballroom and the theme was masquerade. The ballroom was amazingly beautiful and fit the theme perfectly. Everyone had a mask on and some managed to keep theirs on all night! The awards went to really deserving people and the DJ played a nice mix of music. I had a really good night!

Snow!

I saw snow falling out of the sky for the first time ever. It was soooo cool. Yeah ..

Friday I decided I wanted cupcakes so I went to Coles and bought some mix and cooked myself some chocolate cupcakes .. I was inspired by Krisa and her recent cooking antics lol.

Saturday Dhillon and I woke up early and headed out on the 4 hour drive to Mt Buller. We hired pants and shoes, Dhillon got skis and I got a toboggan lol. Was good fun, heaps of people stacking it left right and centre. Dhillon ran a few people over on his skis and I ran a couple of kids over with my toboggan lol.

012

Yesterday we went to watch Mongol at the Rivoli theatre in Camberwell. Was pretty good, a bit long though. Had a drink beforehand so I drove under the influence for the first time :O .. we made it home alive lol.

Fully

Yesterday was my last day of P plates, yay!! Fully licenced now.

Went out for lunch with Markus, Mikey and Thi yesterday, havent seen them for 6 months, Mikey for almost 2 years I think. Had steak at TGIFriday's on Chapel then a coffee after. Was great to see them all again.

That's all I can be bothered writing now.

21.7.08

Do you like Pina Colada's?

I do .. look I have 2!! (One was Rachael's .. really)

Wiiiiiii

Friday night Krisa and I went to a shoe party. "What the hell is a shoe party?" I hear you say .. like a Tupperware party but you buy shoes instead. We headed out to dinner in Springvale with desert and coffee at Maccas lol, then to Narelle's house for the party. I ended up buying two pairs and Krisa ordered one. Handmade leather shoes, mm.

Friday was also Wii day!!!!! Picked it up after work and as soon as I got home from the shoe party I plugged it in and started playing. My arm is sore from swinging the remote around hehe. It's really fun, can't wait for my WiiFit to come too.

Last night Dhillon and I went up the Eureka tower. It was pretty cool but there were so many people. The line to go in The Cube was a 60 minute wait so we didn't go on it. It was really cold and windy too.

One Week Down

First week of my new job is over. It was draining on Monday, busy on Tuesday and Wednesday, frantic on Thursday and quiet today. I'm looking forward to being busy and once I settle in and know what I'm doing I think it will be a pretty good place to work.

That's all :)

Bye Bye Stellar

Friday was my last day at Stellar. After almost 4 years I'm sad to say I won't be returning. I'll miss Dhillon the most hehe, followed closely by Kelly, Stef and Cass. Cleaned out my desk and draws .. almost 3 bags of stuff!!

After work on Friday Kelly came home with me and we got ready to head out for dinner and dancing. We shared a bottle of champagne while waiting for Dhillon to come and pick us up and were a bit tipsy by the time he arrived. Parked somewhere close to Hardware Lane and wandered over to the restaurant to meet up with everyone. There was 16 of us which was great and we have a private room with a big table all to ourselves. I had a great time at dinner, Mel, Kelly & I shared another 2 bottles of champagne lol.

115

After dinner we walked around to Club Retro .. more drinks (I threw up at one point, luckily I made it to the toilet lol) lots of dancing and finally I was up on the podium dancing my heart out for the rest of the night. Left at about 2am and drove Kelly home, although I don't remember much of the ride as I was smashed. Passed out when I got home, I don't think I even rolled over all night I was so dead lol.

 154

Saturday was spent in bed with a headache and weak tummy. Watched allot of TV and played some computer games

Today Dhillon and I, along with half of Melbourne, made a trip along the new Eastlink to Frankston. It was busy, but nice .. good long clean road with some lovely artwork along the way. I'm sure we'll have another drive before the tolls start in a month. Hopefully the freeway will make Springvale Rd a bit more normal now. In Frankston we watched Kung Fu Panda which was really good, we giggled the whole way through. Came home via St Kilda and had a meal at Barney Allens, followed by Cold Rock ice cream.

I'm looking forward to my new job at Skilled tomorrow, I don't start until 930 am so I get to have a sleep in. I'm not excited really but I'm not nervous either. Should be great :)

Harro

Mm what can I update my non-existent readers with ..

On the weekend watched You Don't Mess With the Zohan, the new Adam Sandler movie, it was pretty good, if you're a fan you'll like it, but you gotta be in the right mood or it might be a bit too much. Dhillon and I also had a lovely romantical dinner on Saturday evening and then went to Club Retro to check it out. Sunday we went shopping and I bought Dhillon a hoody, looks hot ;)

We had our new HR manager start today, he's pretty cool, I think he will work well with the team. I only have 3 days left with Stellar so he won't really have much to do with me but he might come along to my farewell celebrations on Friday so that will be cool.

On that note as Friday is my last day there will obviously be food and alcohol involved .. Yum Cha in Box Hill for lunch, dinner at Vons Restaurant in Hardware Lane and drinking and dancing at Club Retro to end the night. I'm expecting about 20 people to come, should be a good night!

And last but not least today I got my licence renewal in the mail .. one month left till I am off my P's, woo hoo!! I do have to have green P's from 1st July though because of the new licensing system, they look funny but oh well, soon to be gone forever :D

19.6.08

shopping

1 hour and 15 minutes, 1 shopping centre, around 10 shops, $105 dollars and 13 tops and a pair of slippers purchased.

Yay for sales :D

Sickie

Today had my first sick day off work for 11 months. Got a cold and I haven't slept properly for 2 nights in a row, plus I got a billion hours of sick leave accrued so I guess I should use it before it disappears. Lucky for me one of my magazines got delivered today and also my paperwork for the new job so I has some reading material to keep me entertained.

My new job pays monthly .. scary, I'm gonna have to budget hard in order not to spend all my money in the first week then be broke all month!

Watched the second Narnia movie on Tuesday and I must say Ben Barnes, who plays Prince Caspian is a bit of a spunk :D

Went off :D

I'm too tired to write anything else lol

New Job

I got the job!!! Yay :D So I finish at Stellar on Friday the 27th June and I start with Skilled Group on Monday the 30th June. My title is Payroll Officer and my salary will be slightly higher than what I'm on now with room to grow as I learn more stuff.

I'm happy, I don't have to worry now I've got somewhere to go and I won't have to live off my redundancy payment for any period of time.

26.5.08

Weekend

Friday night I settled into bed to watch the DVD's that were due back on Saturday. I started watching Pan's Labyrinth then, for the first, or maybe second time in our entire relationship Dhillon turned up just to surprise me! :D It was great, so we watched DVD's together hehe.

Saturday I hung around watching the rest of the movies while Dhillon was out being a handy man at Raj's house, fixing stuff together lol. In the evening we headed out to Chapel St for Jo's birthday/engagement drinks. Was meant to be at Hoo Haa, and the line for Hoo Haa was long. We lined up and then Bob and Michael turned up, luckily Michael knew the bouncers so he walked us in. Jo couldn't get in so she was across the road at The Social, so we wandered over there. Everything seemed to be packed out, must have just been the right night for everyone to hit Chapel St lol. After a few drinks we grabbed a kebab at Lamb and headed home at about 2am.

Sunday was Robyn's bf Marty's birthday at Strike bowling in the city. We all got drunk at 3pm in the afternoon, it was great lol. I came second :D After bowling we were going to go to karaoke but it was closed till 8pm, as it was only 5pm we decided to eat instead .. and what did we eat, dumplings of course!! Yummmmm.

So only 5 weeks left at work, went in for the testing today, I think I did OK and I will find out in a few days if they want me or not. I think I'd really like to work there!

22.5.08

Job Hunting

Went for my first job interview today. Was nothing like I remember job interviews to be. It wasn't nerve racking and the people were really nice and friendly. The feedback from my job agency was very positive and they want me to come in and do some testing on Monday. Maybe I won't have to go to any other job interviews hehe.

19.5.08

moo & hunyo time

Last Sunday Dhillon was meant to come to my house at 11am and spend the day with me and help me cook scones for my mum for Mother's day. His stoopid friend Bob got too drunk and had to stay at his house so Dhillon couldn't come and he BROKE HIS PROMISE hehe. As punishment I said he had to spend this entire weekend with me, no friends, no family friends, just moo & hunyo time lol.

So Saturday we headed out into the city. We were trying to think of something to do but as it was 5pm there really wasn't much aside from dinner, drink or movies, so we did all 3. We parked in Little Bourke St and headed up to Melbourne Central in the rain. Watched 'What Happens in Vegas'. It was pretty good, lots of giggly bits lol.

After movies we went to the bar where the rooftop cinema is. It was raining pretty hard at this time so we scurried around under the umbrellas to get to the bar and the heaters. Was nice up there and would be great on a not rainy evening.

After a drink we headed along to Gaylord Indian restaurant in Tattersalls Lane. Last time we went we had a banquet which was really good, so we had it again! Had 3 entrees which were a potato fried thing lol, chicken and some sort of meat, for mains was a chicken curry, a beef (or maybe lamb?) curry, rice, lentil curry, yogurt and naan bread and some ice cream for desert. Oof we were stuffed full lol.

On the way home we stopped at Video Ezy to get some DVD's. We were watching Munich and I was trying so hard not to fall asleep, it was quite boring and Dhillon likes to have the subtitles turned on, so I can't help but read them and it's kind of hypnotic. We turned off the DVD early and then he realised the IPL was on TV and he wanted to watch that. My reply? Hell no go to sleep!!

Sunday we went to have brunch at The Pavilion in Doncaster, cos it's close hehe. Turns out they have a 2 course lunch special for $19.90, bargain!! I had salt and pepper squid for entree and Dhillon had minestrone soup, both followed by pasta carbonara as the main. Yummyo. Came home and watched the end of the DVD then I released him, allowed him some space away from me hehe.

I had a nice weekend, I dunno about him haha .. nah he had a nice one too. Best part? Walking around in the rain in the city huddled under my umbrella :D

17.5.08

Hello

Had the extensions in for a week now, getting used to them hehe. A few have fallen out (which is normal) and it's odd seeing a clump of hair in my brush, but Gemma can just pop them straight back in for me when I go see her next week. On Thursday after work went to Forest Hill and Dhillon and I were looking about in Myer at the hair straighteners. We were looking at about the $40 to $60 range but didn't commit to buying, instead wait for a sale or something. As we were leaving I had a look on the clearance table and they had the Remington wet to dry straightener for $70, so I bought it and saved $100!!

256

Last night was Tahlea's wedding. Left work at 1 to come home and get ready. Dhillon came at 4 and we drove into the city for the wedding at The Willows function centre. The ceremony was lovely, I think Tien was more nervous than Tahlea and they both looked beautiful. The tables were beautiful and the band they had were great too. No one cried and the speeches were entertaining. Was great :)

Phase 1 - complete

Today got up nice and early and headed off to see my friend Gemma at Hairhouse Warehouse. Sat down and had a chat about my extensions and colours and how we wanted to work the blonde into the brown, then I sat back and let her work her magic.

End result of the first stage is dark brown hair with 4 sections of blonde that show through my layers. We moved away from the foils as if we kept the extensions like that it would look way too chunky and just not so natural. I REALLY like what she's done with the colour and I'm super excited for the end result on Friday.

28.4.08

Bye Bye

So the decision has been made. After almost 4 years I will be moving on from Stellar. June 27 will be my last day. Must start job hunting madly!

Thursday night I decided to skip gym and cook diner. Made my gourmet pizza and Dhillon came over to scoff some. We got some DVDs and settled down for a nice night in.

Friday we watched the remaining DVD then headed out to dinner at Knox followed by a movie. We watched Forgetting Sarah Marshall which was really good, very funny. There's quite a few scenes with willy flashes so beware lol.

Saturday was a bludge day and Sunday we went shopping. It's my mum's birthday on Wednesday, my sister's next Monday and then Mother's day the following Sunday! There goes my money lol.

22.4.08

Hi

Mm no decisions on my job future made as yet. Still need to go in and chat to the manager of the position I have been offered. It turns out my redundancy package along with my final pay and accrued annual leave pay out will be around $14,000 after tax. I must admit this is a big motivating factor as I could move out, if not use the money as a deposit on a house of my own.

Friday night Dhillon and I went to watch Street Kings, the new Kenau Reeves movie, at Knox. We got there early so had dinner at Grill'd. They have OK burgers but really yummy chips!! The movie was really good.

Saturday night was miss Tahlea's hens dinner at Fiesta Mexican restaurant in South Yarra. We had a buffet of salsa and chips, nachos, rice and beef, burritos, and I forget the other one, something with chicken. Was great and heaps of food for only $25! After we ate Tahlea got to pop a piñata which was fun and had some lollies in it. I think Tahlea and her friends went out after but Kelly and I were so stuffed we left after dinner.

16.4.08

Wow

So, this afternoon my (new) manager Kelly called me into her office to have a chat with Richard (centre manager). I sat down at the table and Richard opened the conversation with "Now I have a lot of information to get through so I'm sure you'll have some questions at the end". He had a bunch of papers in front of him and I sat there wondering if I had been paying people wrong or stuffed up the incentives or something equally horrible.

Turns out my position will become redundant as of June 27 2008. Payroll will be centralised at North Sydney corporate which makes sense. To be honest I wasn't shocked, definitely surprised but deep down I knew it would come eventually.

If I leave now my redundancy package would be approximately $6000 before tax, if I work up until July I will receive an extra $3000 bonus. I have also been offered another position in the business and if I take that I will technically not become redundant, I will however still receive the $3000 bonus. The position offered pays $50k per annum, as would any other payroll position I could find.

Over the next few weeks I will need to decide if I want to take up this new position in Stellar or move on and accept the redundancy package.

Hmmmm

14.4.08

Zoom zoom

I got an extra 1gig of RAM for my laptop today, now it ZOOMS, super fast, loving it :D Might upgrade my Windows too, but I'll leave that to computer geek hunyo.

Went to Yum Cha yesterday with Kelly, Erryn, Tahlea and Winda. Ate at Shark Fin Inn in the city and scoffed down dumplings and buns and egg tarts and yummy yummy food! On the way to pick Winda up there was a close call accident at Spaghetti Junction, car did a 360 and ended up facing the oncoming traffic. Scary!!

12.4.08

Karaoke?

Last night was my (ex)manager's resignation (?) celebrations, or farewell I guess you would call it. Went to Kelly's house after work to change and get ready then to Alaysa Turkish Restaurant on Sydney Rd for dinner. We then headed to Baraki for a few drinks. They had a live band playing and some rnb tracks in the breaks. Was OK, not the best place I've been to but Jenny likes it for the guys lol.We left Jenny there about 12 and went to Karaoke. Guess what? I sang hahaha. Never thought that would ever happen. Sang Love Shack with everyone, Sukiyaki with Amour and Endless Love with Dhillon hahah. Was great fun, mainly cos we were all trashed. Never ever thought I would ever sing into a microphone in front of anyone, ever.

Today I feel really tired, not in a hungover headache way, just tired, so I went to Coles and got some food and VideoEzy for some DVD's. Dhillon will be at a wedding all day and night so it's a quiet one in for me.

9.4.08

AVB here we come!

This morning at work I logged into Ticketek and patiently waited for 9 o'clock to come around so I could purchase Armin Van Buuren tickets for me and hunyo. It got to 8:55 so I started refreshing the page and in the refresh time from 9:00 to 9:01, first release tickets had SOLD OUT!!!!!!! I was shocked to say the least, but I kept on refreshing and managed to get second release, Dhillon's friend's managed to get third release and it's probably sold out by now. I'm so glad we got them!

At the gym this evening I saw the definition of ba-donk-a-donk (Subway advertisement) in front of my very eyes. We have a station in the circuit that is a boxing man, so a torso that you punch. This lady was having a go, giving him a good pummelling to the belly with her back facing towards me. She was wearing leggings and she was not skinny, not huge but there was an ass and a half in those leggings, along with her undies that seemed to be cutting right into her butt flab. As she was punching away her butt and thighs were bouncing up and down, side to side, and as I was watching I couldn't help seeing it in slow motion, disgusting!!!

8.4.08

Sleepy

I am SO tired. Last night I went to bed at normal time, yawning my head off .. turned out the lights and just tossed and turned for hours. I was exhausted but just couldn't nod off and I was getting annoyed at myself which in turn kept me awake for longer. Rah! So I was tired and cranky at work, but a wedding invite cheered me up :) but I was definitely too tired for the gym so I left work half an hour early and went for a walk, which was nice cause the weather was lovely and warm.

I need a snooze though, now -.-zZzzZz

6.4.08

Weekend

I had a really great weekend this weekend. Didn't really do anything super special but it was just nice, I'm satisfied :)

Friday as you know I had my hair dresser appointment and Dhillon was at Raj's place so I watched some TV and chatted to him when they got tired and were ready to sleep.

Woke up on Saturday and did my laundry as usual then played DS games until hunyo was ready to go out. He picked me up and we went to Chapel St for dinner. Had a really yummy pizza and an OK serve of sticky date pudding, only OK cause it didn't compare to other one's I've had in the past. After dinner we went to the Jam Factory to watch Semi-Pro. I'd heard bad reviews about it but we still went in to have a look, turned out to be really funny and I would recommend you go see it, just don't go in with high expectations :P After the movie we went for a drink at The Imperial, they had a fire lit in their fireplace which was lovely, and I had a cocktail called Dream Catcher, lime, lychee and lemonade, which was lovely too.

                                                                                                  080207semi-pro-poster

Today I wanted to go out and spend some time in the sun but we ended up going to Malvern to the computer swap meet. We bought some memory for my laptop (so I can install Vista) but it turns out the kind we bought isn't compatible with my Toshiba, boo, but that's ok. Also bought a wireless router so finally my laptop is on wireless without having the super long Ethernet cord from my room to the main PC.

I think it was nice because of the weather, and spending lots of time with hunyo and not spending too much money, and I guess I was in a pretty good mood too. :D

(Hi to my newest reader Tayo .. I think I have 5 readers now? Yay)

4.4.08

Excited but broke

Or soon to be anyway ;) Today after gym I went to my local Hairhouse Warehouse at Eastland to meet with Gemma about getting hair extensions done. We had a good chat, had a look at some hair types, picked out some colours, she even put a couple of strands in my hair so I could see how it works. Basically it's a small bunch of hair strands, maybe 2mm wide which are bunched up together at one end. She then slides a small metal ring (which is lined on the inside so you don't damage your hair) onto your hair, then slips in the extension and crimps closed the ring with a pair of pliers about 1cm away from your scalp. The hair is held on really tightly, I gave it a good yank, it doesn't hurt and once the ring are squashed they lie flat against your head.

I'm really excited, I've never been able to grow my hair very long without it looking thin and yucky. It's gonna cost me heaps though, cos my hair strands are quite thin I need to use the European hair. If I used the Indian or Chinese hair the strands would be allot thicker than mine and behave differently and look completely obvious (I researched all this online). So for now I need to use a super-duper clarifying shampoo and conditioner on my hair and in 3 weeks I will go in for a dye to my hair to match the extension colours we picked, then on May 9 is my extension application appointment. Yay!!!

30.3.08

La li la.

Can't believe I still have 3 Easter eggs, a tray of chocolates and half my Easter moo left! I am eating part of the moo's body right now though :D

Friday night, after taking about an hour to get my clip in extensions in my hair (I really want perm extensions, I'm reasearching types and costs at the moment), hunyo picked me up and we went to Loft. RnB clubbing, yay!! Got there about 10:45 and started in with the drinks straight away, Soho and lemonade, Cowboys all the way! Had good fun, Jimmy and Sid came along as well. Stayed till about 2 then went to Stalactites for a super yummy kebab! Got home about 4am, was great!

Saturday I bummed around the house all day, which is the proper thing to do when you're hungover I believe. At least there were good movies on TV in the evening to snooze off to. Today we went to lunch at Bar Bosh in Knox. I had a lamb pizza and a slice of lemon tart. My tummy was so full I had a food baby growing lol, gotta work hard at the gym this week.

23.3.08

Scary freeway trip

Last night I finally got my hunyo for a whole Saturday night. Yay! He came to pick me up, but a fuse is busted in his car so there is no music at the moment, we ended up taking Bob car, he drove though. The freeway is close to being finished and they are working on changing the on-off ramps at Springvale Rd so the freeway will continue along on it's journey to Frankston. For that reason the speed limits have changed to 60 on Springvale Rd, 80 for the first part of the freeway then 100 once you pass the roadwork areas.

We had just come onto the freeway and were in the 80 bit when we noticed a car in the middle lane had their hazard lights on. We slowed right down to see that the car had broken down in the middle lane of the freeway and 4 stupid guys were standing around the car and looking in at the engine trying to fix it. Most cars noticed the hazard lights and changed lanes. We were in the left lane and as we were approaching the car, quite slowly by now, I noticed a car in the middle lane coming down the side and not slowing down. This car would have been going 80, if not 100 and obviously they didn't notice the indicators blinking. The braked at the last possible second and swerved to the right. It was SO close, the guys standing around the car all scattered in front of our car and the other car was lucky they didn't lose control and skid into either the broken car or the dividing barrier on the right hand side.

It was SO dangerous and those guys were so DUMB to even consider standing in the middle lane of a freeway at night time. They are so lucky to still be alive I think! We sped up as we went past them and a few kilometres down the road the car that had almost hit them had pulled over on the shoulder and I'm sure they would have all been freaking out. Moral of the story? If your car breaks down on a freeway, leave it there, call RACV or the cops. Don't get out of it unless it's safe and definitely don't stand around it!

Anyway after the drama of the night we went to Chapel St and did some bar-hopping. So classy (sarcasm) but we had a good night. Started out at Hoo Haa bar and had a drink there. Then went to Blue Bar cause Dhillon needed to pee, they had some nice break beats so we stayed there for a drink. Then we walked up the road and popped in to the Irish bar, having a blonde moment, can't remember the name, so he could pee again. Then we went to the Imperial for another drink and a bit of a dance, then back to the Irish bar so Dhillon could do the breath test, then to Lamb's for a chicken kebab, then home. He stayed over, I made him, it's his 'punishment' for being busy with the boys tonight hehe.

It's a chocolate moo! How cool.

Wednesday evening after work and gym I went for a bikini wax. I had a different girl to usual this time as they were pretty flat out busy before the long weekend, I guess every lady wants a smooth moot and fake tan for Easter lol. Anyway she was doing her thing and chatting away as much as you can with a stranger's head in your nether regions, after a short lull in conversation she pops out with 'You have nice skin', meaning my noonie skin. I was quiet for a second thinking of how exactly to reply to that. I just said thanks. It was weird, but she says apparently lots of people don't have nice skin down there. O.o

hot hot hot

Wowee it's hot. Imagine your bedroom, with no air-con, upstairs, with a laptop and huge screen TV on .. HOT!!!! Bring on tomorrow's cool change please!

Friday night Dhillon and I went to watch Vantage Point at Glen Waverly, mainly so I could get out of the heat of my room and into the air conditioned comfort of the cinema. It was weird the movie, but I enjoyed it, had a nice twist about half way through. I also went to the gym on Friday, first time in a week cos of my illness. It was hard work lol.

Saturday I bludged around the house as Dhillon was out playing paintball for his friends bucks day/night. They had a BBQ after so I picked up Krisa in the evening and we headed in to Crown for late dinner and a later movie. We watched The Other Boleyn Girl (chick flick) which was really very good. Drove her home then got home around 3am! Crazy.

Sunday I slept in the lay on my bed sweating all day, nothing exciting at all lol.

11.3.08

After 5-ish years

I have taken out my tongue piercing, for good. As I'm sick it's been annoying me when I cough, but a few months ago I noticed that the gum behind one of my bottom teeth had receded and I'm pretty sure that it's from the bottom ball of the bar-bell constantly rubbing on the part of my mouth. That's made my teeth a bit sensitive, plus I'm not a teeny bopper anymore and not many people know or remember that I have the piercing cos I don't usually poke my tongue out.

I did ask Dhillon for his opinion before taking it out lol and he was OK with it. I don't think a little ball makes that much difference to you-know-what. Tongue feels funny on the top of my mouth and I wonder if it will make me talk any different. The hole will heal up mostly overnight so can't change my mind.

10.3.08

Long weekend

Friday night we were gonna go to the movies but we were both sleepy so ended up getting some DVDS instead. Dropped by The Pavilion for a drink on the way and watched one movie in the evening.

Saturday morning my long lost uncle John turned up with his wife Kerry to stay with us for the weekend. We haven't seen him for 16 years and mum only heard from him recently and they decided they wanted to catch up. They were quite nice, sat outside most of the time blabbing on to mum about the old days and smoking cigarettes. Saturday afternoon Dhillon's old house mate picked us up and we went to the Motor Show after meeting up with Raj and Manisha. Walked around for about 2 hours, boys being boys, they wanted to take photos of every car and next to every car.

Sunday lunch was out with mum's side of the family, great aunts and uncles, cousins and second cousins. At this point I was feeling pretty run down from this stoopid head cold I have and wasn't in the mood for much talking, but they didn't mind really, all they did was reminisce. I stayed for a couple of hours then came home while mum and her brother stayed for another few hours. Dhillon came over to watch the other DVD we had hired then we went into the city to watch the Moomba fireworks. We weren't right under them like last year but it was still a really great show. After that Dhillon headed to Sid's house to have drinks with his dad and I headed home.

Today we went to watch Jumper at Glen Waverly and then picked up Raj and Manisha to take them to buy a new microwave and stuff for their house. By the time that was over I was feeling pretty shitful and blocked up. Still am but I don't wanna squirt decongestant until I go to sleep in about 45 minutes. Back to work tomorrow.

Hello

Just an addition to last weekend, Krisa, Dhillon and I went to watch Juno which was pretty good then had dumplings! Yay!

Friday after work went out with the team to Lygon St for dinner before going to the Old Melbourne Gaol for the night time tour. It was pretty good, not scary but really interesting. They darken the prison and you get a tour by candle light with a guy telling stories of people who were incarcerated there many years ago. They have a lot of death masks, including Ned Kelly's. After the show they turn the lights on and you get a chance to look around. We took some daggy photos which I will upload once Jenny get's them off her computer.

Saturday was shopping day, time to spend my birthday money. I went to Eastland at about 1030 and wandered round browsing and deciding. Ended up getting an outfit for work and a going-out outfit, with shoes to match both. After I exhausted myself with shopping I went to Box Hill for my hair appointment. Got a nice new colour, I'm now a brunette. Dhillon knew I had an appointment but he didn't know what for so he was imagining I'd chopped it all off or something horrible. Took about 2 hours for the colour and foils.

Last night we went for dinner in St Kilda before going to see Russell Peters! Yay! He was so funny, as usual. This was my 3rd time seeing him live, Dhillon's first time. He brought along some other comics, Ahmed Ahmed and Joe someone-or-other. They were both really funny and complimented Russell well. It was a really great night. Got home after midnight cause the traffic on the way home was shocking.

.

Hmm so here I am the morning after another Saturday night .. at home. BORING!! Anywho on Friday went to watch The Bucket List with Dhillon. We missed the beginning cos someone needed to smoke, but it was quite good, not outstanding but a nice, light, easy to watch movie. After we went to Airstream for some food and headed home to snuggle into bed and warm up.

Yesterday we went to Chadstone so Dhillon could have his free facial from Biotherme. Wasn't anything special, she just cleansed, exfoliated, toned, moisturised, but his skin was lovely and smooth after. We grabbed some food and then headed home cos he had to go into work. I went to Target and got a $5 t-shirt :D

AND the whole point of writing this blog is to say:

ROBYN, I MISS YOUR BLOGS!! WRITE SOME MOREEEE (cos I'm a sticky beak and wanna know what's going on in your life :P)

I got an update from my sponsor baby today, well he's not really a baby anymore, he'll be 6 this year. His name is Gary and he live in Chile. He is so cute, his gonna be a heart breaker when he grows up. Aww I'm such a proud sponsor mum lol.

Walkies

I had to return the DVD's we hired on Valentines today and as I was awake pretty early I thought I would walk them to Video Ezy before it got too hot. Got there OK, and halfway back but the last few blocks was a real killer, I think I was a bit delirious at that point and of cos it had warmed up a whole bunch. I was wearing my pedometer, turns out I walked 10km! Took 2 hours. Needless to say I have been lazy all afternoon and feel exhausted lol.

Valentines Day

So I spent Wednesday evening baking cupcakes for my huny-oh. They turned out pretty cool (see below). I also bought him a real chocolate mud cake square that had a pretty heart on it and made him a daggy card with our photo on it lol. Valentines is a silly day so you gotta do something silly. I didn't actually get anything from him, probably cos he's still broke from my Christmas and birthday presents, but that's OK, we spent the night on my bed watching DVD's and eating pizza which was lovely.

Party Party Party

Saturday afternoon Dhillon and I headed into the city to check into our hotel for the night. Lay around for a bit then went out to dinner at Cafe & Biscotti which is in one of the little laneways around the city. I had chicken and avocado salad followed by lemon tart and Dhillon had roast chicken breast followed by mars bar cake lol. Went back to the hotel to get changed and made our way to 6 Links Bar which had suddenly changed names to Nectar Bar.

Met up with Mel being the first to arrive, then Dave and had a drink with them. Dave bought me a whole bunch of party poppers which was pretty cool but I lost them before I made it back to the hotel :( Joey and Sid and their better halves turned up next with a lovely moo gift and chocolates. Then came Tahlea and Kelly with a gift voucher. Raj and Manisha came and then in no particular order (cos I can't remember) came Bob, Jimmy & Sid, Marcus & Ly, Jo, Stef & her friend, Krisa & Winda, Amour & her friend, Jay, Noodle, Jenny and her posse, Sov & June, Nathalie & Yonten and that's about all I think (sorry to anyone I forgot).

Had a great time, lots of drinks, but lots of water as well. The bar was nice, they had a straightening iron in the bathroom that you pay $2 to use .. lol wtf? After we went to some back packer bar on Elizabeth St cos it was free, danced around a bit there then headed home to the hotel. Thanks heaps to everyone who came and f*ck you to those who didn't :P

Sunday we got up at about midday and got ready to go to the cricket at the MCG. It was HOT sitting the sun all day, I was sweating like a pig and got a tiny bit sunburned on parts of my arms, but was good fun, had hotdogs and chips lol. Got home finally about 10pm and I was exhausted!

Photos to be on Facebook soon..

26

Only 365 days till my birthday .. wooo!! Lol yes I am officially 26 and one day old. As soon as midnight clicked over I got an SMS from Dhillon and then from Krisa and just as I was getting back to sleep I got another one from JT. Woke up to a hand written Happy Birthday from my mum, she was still asleep, Monday is her day off. Got to work and Kelly sang me happy birthday along with Jenny and Tammy throughout the day. Received a lot of well wishes and a birthday coffee from Dhillon. Headed out to a long lunch at China Bar, combination fried noodles followed my fried ice cream (which was kind of disappointing for my first try). Dhillon also surprised me with a box of flowers at lunch, beautiful blue orchids and a single red rose *aww* he's so lovely. Did some fluffing around at work then headed to the gym and home for a shower before dinner. Dhillon turned up on time hehe and we went to the Pavilion to meet Nan and Pa for dinner. Had a Thai beef salad followed by churros. Headed home for the traditional birthday sex and conked out in bed.

All in all a lovely birthday :D Now comes Saturday drinks!

Almost!

One more sleep, 4 hours left of being 25 lol. Got my first presents today from my lovely husband :D A gold necklace and 2 pairs of gold earrings to replace my tarnished sleepers. Lovely lovely. After shopping we met up with Dhillon's friend Raj and his girlfriend Manisha and watched Charlie Wilson's War at the movies. Was OK but I wasn't really in the mood for a deep and meaningful movie.

Cricket

Went to the Aussie v India 20/20 cricket match with Dhillon and his housemates tonight. Was pretty cool to be at the G, under the lights and in the atmosphere of a roaring crowd. The thing I didn't like was the Australian fans un-sportsmanlike behaviour. Whenever an Indian player was on the screen or scored a run they would boo out loud, India didn't do that to their players, it just seems a bit pathetic to me lol. Another reason I'm turned off white guys I guess? It was a very one sided match, India were not playing well at all. Left before the end of the match although I don't think it went much longer. As we were leaving we almost got side swiped by police horses chasing after some mofo.

La la

5 days till my birthday KRISA

I got stabbed today .. by choice lol. Had my second Guardasil injection, that's the one for cervical cancer. Any of you ladies who may read this make sure you start getting it done this year because mid 2009 it won't be free anymore and you will have to pay $150 per injection, so for 3 injections that's $450 bucks.

Monday evening went out to dinner with Kelly and Erryn to a Greek restaurant on Swan St in Richmond. We ate so much food, dips and bread, saganaki, mountains of meat, salad and we even stuffed desert in! Was great :D

Shopping

For those of you who don't know how to use a calendar, there is now only 1 week till my birthday :D

Friday evening was Mel's birthday drinks at the Belgium Beer Cafe on St Kilda Rd. Left my car at home in the morning and came in with Dhillon so I could have a few drinks. Is a nice place, all outdoors, lots of seats and places to stand and lots of people. Stayed out till about 1030 and crashed pretty soon after getting home.

Yesterday afternoon Dhillon and I went to Glen Waverly to watch Sweeny Todd at the cinemas. Was pretty good, but was a musical so Dhillon didn't really like it that much, too much singing for him hehe. After we went to Shine for a drink and some nibblies. Came home then went up to the Nunawading Library for the Australia Day festival. The fireworks were scheduled for 945 so we grabbed a seat next to the oval to wait, and wait .. and wait. Finally at 1045 they went off and they were really good. Out spot was perfect, they were right above us, some of them scarily close, but the smoke and ask was blown away from us on the breeze.

Today dragged Dhillon out to DFO in the city to shop for an outfit for my birthday party. Found a pretty yellow one then went to look for shoes, but couldn't find any. That's OK though cos I can just wear my black ones with it.

Ouchie

First and most importantly .. 2 weeks till my birthday :D

Friday after work headed out to my hairdresser for a quick snip. Just had a trim to get rid of the dry ends and let the layers come a little closer so my lengths don't look so bleh. Drove out to pick up Krisa and Winda and we made our way out way to Glen Waverly for dumplings, rice and seafood and vegetables. Was really yummy and only cost us $10 each. For desert we were thinking of having gelati until Krisa remembered Cold Rock and had little tears in her eyes begging to go lol. There was a bit of a line in the icecream shop but we waited patiently, even after some guy and his ugly girlfriend pushed in front of me, and sat down to scoff our icecream. The wind blew up a bit while we were sitting so Winda decided to impersonate Pocahontas which had Krisa in tears again, this time from laughter.

Saturday Dhillon and I went in to work to do some quick photocopying and then had lunch at China Bar. We went to Eastland and had a drink in the cafe upstairs there. I left my wallet on the couch while we went outside so Dhillon could smoke, luckily one of the lovely guys sitting near us brought it out to me *phew*. We watched 27 Dresses which was good but not as fantastic as everyone seems to think it is. It was worth watching but nothing to rave about. We were meant to go out in the evening but Dhillon had something else to do so I stayed at home.

Sunday I had a market research session at Chadstone. I tasted 2 different types of Cola drinks and had to comment on them and compare them together. They paid me $25 for 20 minutes work so that was OK. Dhillon came with me and was having a coffee while I was busy, he then decided he wanted a haircut so we made an appointment and he got a 0-gauge buzz cut!! His hair is gone .. haven't got a photo yet and I'm still not used to it yet, but it's cool to touch. His head is shaped like an egg, so he is my lovely egg-head now!

I just want you close
Where you can stay forever
You can be sure
That it will only get better
You and me together
Through the days and nights
I don't worry 'cuz
Everything's going to be alright
People keep talking
They can say what they like
But all i know is everything's going to be alright
No one, no one, no one
Can get in the way of what I'm feeling
No one, no one, no one
Can get in the way of what I feel for you,
You, you
Can get in the way of what I feel for you
When the rain is pouring down
And my heart is hurting
You will always be around
This I know for certain
You and me together
Through the days and nights
I don't worry 'cuz
Everything's going to be alright
People keep talking
They can say what they like
But all i know is everything's going to be alright
No one, no one, no one
Can get in the way of what I'm feeling
No one, no one, no one
Can get in the way of what I feel for you,
You, you
Can get in the way of what I feel
I know some people search the world
To find something like what we have
I know people will try, try to divide something so real
So til the end of time I'm telling you there is no one
No one, no one, no one
Can get in the way of what I'm feeling
No one, no one, no one
Can get in the way of what I feel for you,
You, you
Can get in the way of what I feel for you

Countdown

There's one month left till my birthday .. yay! A day all about me :D

My birthday falls around the same time as Chinese New Year and all the associated festivals. Every year I have had people tell me they can't come out with me to celebrate my day because they 'have' to go to a festival. If anyone says it to me this year, I won't consider them a friend anymore. I haven't made any plans yet, probably dinner and a few drinks somewhere in the city or Chapel St. There will be a ban on red wine lol.

1.1.08

Happy New Year!

Hope everyone (my 2 readers Krisa and Robyn that is) had a lovely new year and celebrated nicely. Dhillon, Bob and I headed into the city at about 10pm and met up with their friends. We drank in some alleyways so we wouldn't get busted by cops lol. We then headed over to Queen's Bridge to watch the fireworks. After that we went to a pub called Flannigans, cos it had free entry and air-con and then to Crown before heading home around 3:30am. It was a nice (hot) night and I had fun, but I wasn't as drunk as the boys so Dhillon didn't seem to understand why I wasn't as hyped as them and that I couldn't join in anyway because they were speaking Indian all night. He did however drunkenly shout out his love for me on the top of the bridge lol. When we were coming home on the train some little gangster teeny bopper girls started shouting at Bob for no reason, threatening to stab him in the eye with her stiletto .. was a bit gay, she was obviously drunk and just a young 'brave' girl and I think she thought the 'fobs' (Bob and Dhillon) would be scared of her, but they gave back to her just as much shit as she was giving them. It was pretty retarded lol.

On Sunday we headed down to the Great Ocean Road. I drove the way there, stopping in Anglesea, Lorne, Apollo Bay before our final stop at the 12 Apostles. I've never seen them before so it was great to look at but there were SO many flies, I was scared to open my mouth incase flies flew in lol. Dhillon drove home and again we stopped at Apollo Bay and Lorne. Stopped at China Bar in Box Hill on the way home for a feed. Got a bit sunburned on my driving arm, but it's not too bad, just a bit pink.

On Saturday went with Dhillon to pick up Bob and headed down to Mordialloc Beach for the afternoon. Got into the water, the boys put their heads under, I just went up to waist high. After we had a bight to eat then headed home. Spending time in the sun and heat is so exhausting but had a good day.
